I have extensive work experience and professional training through AT&T Wireless and Alcatel.
I am certified in Alcatel MDR-4000, Alcatel MDR-6000 & Alcatel MDR-8000 digital microwave radios.
I have installed, tested and "turned up" many of these radios. I have experience working with older Alcatel microwave radios such as the "3118" and "5202" series. These older radios are sometimes labeled as "Rockwell" or "Collins". I worked with ATTWS and Alcatel through Group 3 Technologies as a project supervisor installing and testing the new microwave "backbone" through the California desert in 2001.
I also have experience installing and using Alcatel RDI 3100 Multiplexers and NEC RC-28D Multiplexers.
I have been trained by Andrew for coax and waveguide connector installation.
I have been trained and certified by Commscope for coax and waveguide connector installation.
I have received "Desert Tortoise" training and certification.
I have installed, tested and maintained Harris Microstar digital microwave radios, and other Harris m/w radios (Constellation series).
I have installed, configured, tested and maintained Proxim/Western Multiplex "Lynx" spread spectrum microwave radios.
I have experience installing CSUs and DSX interconnect panels, digital to optical converters and all related telecom equipment.
I am certified in "Network Engineering and Management" by Computer Learning Centers-Anaheim, CA. Graduated July 1998 Cum Laude.
I have 3 years experience working in AT&T Wireless Services Mobile Telephone Switch Offices (Southern California)testing T-1 and T-3 spans and digital cross connects and extensive time in the field (cell sites) doing routine Cell Site maintenance/upgrades (Ericcson analog and digital and Nokia "3G" equipment), testing T-1 & T-3 circuits including troubleshooting with Telco (GTE/Verizon & Pac Bell) opening and escalating trouble tickets to completion and the installation of microwave radios, path alignment and testing. I am experienced in the operation, setup and maintenance/troubleshooting of Ericcson Switch gear, Alcatel and Titan DAX equipment. I am experienced in the use of ProComm and WinFiol software.
I have worked in the Electronics and Communications field for over 25 years. I have experience in all types of electronics... everything from tube electronics to the most modern state of the art. My specialty has always been troubleshooting and resolving problems to the component level and training others in my skills. I trained many employees of Group 3 Technologies during my 3 1/2 years there.
