# CHScanner 0.9.7.4, 25 January 2009
This release contains two important bug fixes. Replace the old version ASAP!
The WMI Scan method is "enriched" with Win32_LoggedUser. Read more here.
In this release, I have included the redistributable libraries from Microsoft Visual C++ needed by the application, so the only dependency is now WinPcap!
To download the new version, go to the CHScanner's dedicated page.
# Windows Command Line Tools, 25 June 2007
The document about command line tools for Windows (XP and higher) is updated. It is located here.
# PDA related section, 21 March 2007
I've managed to configure a multi-boot environment for HP iPAQ HX4700. It allows me to use that PDA with Windows CE, Familiar v.0.8.4 GPE or Familiar v.0.8.4 OPIE. The document is in the new Docs's PDA section. (FYI: Familiar v.0.8.4 uses the 2.6.15 Linux Kernel.)
A new document for backing up the Windows CE installed on a hx4700 PDA is here, also located in the Docs's PDA section.
# A little programming exercise, 13 February 2007
I am addicted to C++ programming. However, I had to do something else: LDAP Authentication to Active Directory using VBScript
# New documents, November-December 2006
The Docs section have now a new subsection, called Ideas. It contains the Unusual usages of a wireless router/access point document.

In the Networks section I have added two new documents about network protocols. In the process of developing the CHScanner application, especially its passive scanning part, I had to dig deep on the Internet to find detailed informations about some network protocols that I have looking for. Some hard gathered informations will be presented in this section. Now this section hosts the GARP, GVRP, GMRP and CDP documents.
# Updated documentation, 18 May 2006
Today I have uploaded the updated versions of the SSL access for Allied Telesyn's routers and Layer 3 switches and SSH access for Allied Telesyn's routers and Layer 3 switches documents.
These are quite completed now.
# Information Disclosure Vulnerability in the IPv6 stack?, 03 May 2006
Working on my network scanner (CHScanner) I have found an interesting behaviour of the IPv6 stack implemented on various operating systems. In the "IPv4 only" era that was called broadcast ping.
To integrate the related article I have created a new entry in the Docs section, Security.
# XML programming, 24 January 2006
In the last days I have played with my xsl and css files and now all the articles have tables of contents generated automatically.
A full site update has occurred.
# Programming: about speed, 18 January 2006
Added a document about how to increase the speed of applications you are working at, without loosing functionality.
I have treated a few important speed improvements regarding the usage of CString class. The article is here.
Some typing corrections has been done.
