CAFÉ VIENNA
ABOUT the Project "CAFÉ VIENNA" .....

This coffee-house, a unique concept developed over the year 2000, but postponed after the economic downturn after the '9/11' (World Trade Center) disaster of 2001, creating a false environment of fear of terrorism, represented an investment not to be missed! The business plan describes its uniqueness in detail. Location will be in downtown VANCOUVER, British Columbia, recognised as the world's most beautiful city, and Canada's year-round No.1 tourist attraction.

ABOUT the City of VIENNA .....

Take a short photographic trip with us to majestic and romantic VIENNA,
city of gardens (including the Prater and its giant Ferris Wheel); of famous composers such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johann Strauss I and II, Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Lehar, Franz Schubert, Robert Stolz, Emmerich Kalman, Joseph Lanner - not all of them born in Austria, but they decided to make their home there.

Home also to some of the earliest coffeehouses - meeting place of musicians, composers, writers, actors, critics and philosophers (such as Schiller, Sigmund Freud, Marlene Dietrich and countless others) and budding politicians or revolutionaries (such as Trotsky and Lenin); not just to those who lived in Austria, but from all over Europe. Today it is also the haunt of businessmen.

World famous also for its architecture, Lipizzaner (The Spanish Riding School), fabulous confectionery including Sachertorte, the Vienna Boys Choir, the Vienna Philharmonic, the State Opera House ..... these photos do not do justice to this beautiful capital of Austria, having been taken during a hectic 3-day holiday in 1998.

Enrico Caruso Cafe - Famous tenor - although he was not from Vienna, just a visitor of renown.

VIENNA inherited COFFEE from the Turks in 1683, a little after the introduction of coffee-houses in London, England, but it was not until 1951 that the first espresso-bar was opened.

VIENNA has given its name to a dark roast of coffee, which is now popularly known world-wide as a "
    VIENNA ROAST."
