SERSI VERSUS THE BORG

-A short story by Ian Watson-

I can see it now. Borg break in to Sersi's West Side loft. Sersi explains to the drones that she would prefer not to be assimilated by a race with such abysmal fashion sense thank you very much. First set of Borg slither out of there as snakes with plastic tubes stuck in them.

More Borg shatter the skylight and fire phaser weaponry at Sersi. doesn't do any harm to an Eternal but it does ruin a rather nice rug. Sersi fries the little worms with those Eternal eye blasts.

Three more Borg teleport in, catching her by surprise but finding out that an Eternal has complete control over the all molecules of their body (and that Sersi has specialised in molecular manipulation). Sersi demonstrates the pressing capacity of a miffed Eternal by hurling a Borg across the Hudson River. Assimilate that. Then she shows off her power blast abilities. That's a new attack as well. Then she solidifies the air the next Borg, entrapping him in carbonised matter.

More Borg arrive, alerted to the resistance. Sersi now shows them what molecular manipulation can do to the non-organic bits of a Borg, since they adapted to the other way. This is bad for the drones. As they fall down gasping for their vital fluids, Sersi smiles sweetly and tells them to warn the Borg Queen that she's coming to have a word about her rug...
