Daina to Dyndymene

Daina Wife of Kronos, mother of Zuras and A'Lars. -Captain Marvel#29

Dr. Daniel Damian An archaeologist from Kingston University, father of Margo Damian, and associate of Dr. Samuel Holden. Dr. Damian's first encounter with alien life-forms came when he examined an island in the Pacific Ocean, and found Intergalactic Sentry#459, left there by the Kree. Years later he went on an expedition with Margo and a guide named "Ike Harris". Ike led them to the Andes Mountains, and into the City of the Space Gods, where he revealed himself to be Ikaris of the Polar Eternals. Fascinated with the Celestial civilization he had found, Dr. Damian chose to remain inside the City when the Celestials sealed it off, and became friends with Ajak. Three SHIELD Agents who were brought to the City by the Celestials attempted to force Dr. Damian to aid them, but he refused. However, when Gammenon brought an airplane to the City, Dr. Damian helped Thor rescue the passengers. After the Celestials' departure, Dr. Damian remained in the City with Ajak, but went mad after he learnt of Margo's death. Using his knowledge of the Celestial's devices, he momentarily gained the power of an Eternal from the machines. In the instant he had this power, he used it to forge scrolls which he sent to the Eternals and Deviants, claiming that they would be destroyed by the hybrid twins of their own kind. In fact, Damian had learnt that Thena and Kro were the parents of two twins, and hoped the Eternals and Deviants would lead him to them. Needing a further tool for vengeance, he used Celestial technology to transform Ajak into a monster which he sent to slay every pair of twins he found. Dr. Damian's plan was ultimately unsuccessful, however, and Ajak committed suicide by disintegrating himself and Damian at the same time. -Fantastic Four#64, Eternals (v.1)#1-4, 7, 12, Thor#284, 291, Eternals: The Herod Factor

Margo Damian Daughter of Dr. Daniel Damian, who she lived with in Denver. Margo may have once been attracted to Dr. Samuel Holden. While on an expedition with her father and "Ike Harris" to the City of the Space Gods, Margo learnt of the Eternals and Deviants, and was forcibly removed from the City by Ikaris, while her father remained behind. She accompanied Ikaris back to the United States, where she met other Eternals such as Sersi, and aided Dr. Holden in introducing these sub-races to humanity, as well as joining Ikaris on several adventures, including a visit to Olympia where she joined the Uni-Mind. After most of Earth's Eternals left, Margo stayed with Ikaris while he toured the Unlimited Class Wrestling Federation, then joined him in his battle against the Deviant fleet. But while at a party at Sersi's, Margo was captured by Ghaur, who brought her to Lemuria as bait for Ikaris. To disguise her from Ikaris, Ghaur ordered her to be altered into a Deviant form. However, the experiment accidentally killed her instead. Kro recovered her body, returned it to Ikaris, and he buried her on an island in the Aegean Sea, alongside his other lovers from over the centuries. -Eternals (v.1)#1-6, 8-12, 14-16, 18, Thor#284-286, 291, Eternals (v.2)#1-7, 9-10. Margo is mistakenly called Carol by Sersi in Eternals#4. Or was that a mistake?

The armor is even capable of independent thought, when faced with difficult dilemmas. Deviants Sub-race of humanity which on earth, dwell in the city of Lemuria. Deviants on other worlds include the Skrulls, who killed their original race. The Deviants of earth have been ruled by a monarchy, with the House of Toads ruling them for several centuries. Since the death of Brother Tode, Brother Kro, Brother Brutus and Brother Visara have all ruled them, but it is Priestlord Ghaur who currently rules the Deviants, though Kro is kept in power as a figurehead leader. The Deviants' religious system places the Dreaming Celestial as their creator. For centuries, the Deviants believed that the most grotesque of their kind must submit to the Fire Pits of "Purity Time", not knowing that victims of Purity Time ("Rejects") were actually put into suspended animation to one day serve as the "Fifth Host". Purity Time has since been dis-continued. Deviants have little love for one another, and little hope for their future. One of the few pleasures they enjoy is the domination over humanity. At one time, Lemuria existed above the waves, and was capital of the earth. But after an unwise attack on the Celestials, Lemuria was sunk, and the Deviants have never reclaimed their full power. Modern plots have included the use of Mutates to spread disorder among humans. They were also responsible for the many subterranean races, including Gortokians, Moloids, Tyrannoids, and the Lava Men, all originally bred as slaves. For a brief time, the Deviants were mutated further by Apocalypse, and were nearly mindless creatures which rampaged indiscriminately, but they have since been restored to normalcy.

The Interloper was able to drive the Dragon from Earth, and imprisoned its spirit on the moon of Titan. The Dragon was still able to manipulate others, however, and was partially responsible for the corruption of Thanos. It finally found a kindred spirit in Moondragon, and over the years, manipulated her into becoming its servant, and eventually free it. Dreaming Celestial Formerly named Tiamut, this Celestial's true name has been removed from all records. He has been rumored by some to have created the Deviant Tantalus. He was once golden in color, until he committed some crime, which resulted in the other members of the 2nd Host turning "the Weapon" upon him, destroying him. This act was witnessed by Valkin and Sigmar of the Polar Eternals, and the Celestials allowed them to take possession of a vial, containing Tiamut's essence. Valkin constructed the Pyramid of the Winds to contain both the Vial, and "the Weapon, and crafted a security program that would notify his nephew Ikaris, should the Pyramid ever be breached. Tiamt's body, now colored black, was placed beneath the mountains of California, unable to move, only able to dream. He became known as both "the Black Celestial" and "the Dreaming Celestial". The Deviants came to believe that the Celestial's crime was creating them, and the priesthood developed an entire system of belief around him. Ghaur hoped to challenge the might of the Celestials by obtaining the essence from the Vial, but instead, the Dreamer took over Ghaur's actions, and tried to force him into freeing him from his vault, but the Eternals and Avengers stopped him, and the essence was re-sealed into the Vial. He recently began a war with Ashema for control of Counter-Earth, and was defeated by Dr. Doom and Mr. Fantastic. In an alternate future, the Dreamer awakened, and overloaded Galactus' powers so that he would devour the universe, but the Fantastic Four tricked him into being devoured by Galactus himself. -Eternals (v.1)#18, What If (v.1)#23, Eternals (v.2)#11-12, Silver Surfer Annual#2, Amazing Spider-Man Annual#23, Fantastic Four#339-340, Heroes Reborn: Ashema, Fantastic Four (v.3)#25

Dromedan A Deviant Mutate, feared by his own kind for his staggering mental powers, which include illusion casting. The Eternals sealed Dromedan inside of a mountain in South America, but in the time of the 3rd Host, after he was nearly freed by an enthralled Thor, Druig attempted to set him free under his control. However, Dromedan was far superior to Druig, and took over his mind. Dromedan attempted to enslave the Ican peoples with his agents Tutinax, Thunder, and the World-Devouring Worm, but was defeated by Thor and the Polar Eternals, who restored the Neutralizer Helmet that suppresses his powers. At some point, Zuras placed Dromedan into a new tomb, below New York City. He was again freed when a robot of the Hulk crashed into his crypt, but Ikaris destroyed Dromedan, apparently for good. -Eternals (v.1)#16-17, Thor Annual#7. When Ziran the Tester came through the area of Polaria, Druig planned to slay him using the "Weapon", which he learnt of by torturing Ikaris, but Ikaris disintegrated Druig before he could fire the Weapon.
