Tip: Octaves are a great way to add fullness to your chord.  Also if you are not sure of a chord on a faster song you can sometimes get away with playing the octaves of the lead note in your left hand.

Music Reviews:

I haven't bought the new Donald Lawrence album yet, but I've heard lots of good things about it and can't wait to hear it!

GREAT KID'S WORSHIP:  Shout to the Lord-Kid's Praise Gospel has some awesome songs!  It was produced by the artist Israel and has some great songs like "Spirit of the Lord" and "I Will".  If you are thinking about doing a kid's choir, this is the CD for you.  Just make sure you get the one that says "Gospel" on it.
DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that on the keyboard you can use the minor a step above whatever major chord you are playing as a fill-in?  For example, when you are playing a C chord, you can use Dm in between (C-Dm-C).  When you are playing G, use Am...when playing F, use Gm. etc.  To use this technique effectively, you should practice going up and down the keyboard using the major and minor in all of the inversions.

Example:

Root    1st      2nd    Root     1st      2nd  Root
C-Dm-C-Dm-C-Dm-C-Dm-C-Dm-C-Dm-C
