First of all I will introduce myself.....I was born in a little town in Up State NY, where the winters are long and the summers short! I spent my entire life there (Until March of this year) and have always considered myself to be a country bumpkin. I grew up in a very loving home along with two brothers...both of whom are older I might add! Mom and Dad were deeply committed to each other and the family they had and did their best at instilling good moral values in all of us. At 17 I went off to Nursing School...having worked my last three years of HS as an aide in a local hospital, I decided that is what I wanted to be. I graduated in '68 and shortly there after I met my beloved husband.

My husband comes from the capital area of NY. I worked with his mom and often went to dinner there. It didn't take long until we were engaged. He traveled north to meet my parents and fell in love with the home of the country bumpkin! We settled up north upon marriage and remained until March of this year. He is one VERY SPECIAL man who has been at my side for the last 31 years! He supported me 100% as we cared for mom in our home....without him and our two boys, I would have never been able to carry out moms care as long as I did.
We were married in July of '69 and are still very happily married! For the first 9 years we worked and played with no sign of children. We borrowed every kid there was in the surrounding area treating them as our own. (The advantage here being...when you tire out, you get to ship them home to their parents! *** GRINS ***)

In January of 78 we applied for adoption....on July 7th our little miracle was born!!!!! Paul Anthony joined us in September ...... he was and still is a GIFT FROM GOD! David and I were on vacation in Maine and the agency had tried to call us several times to no avail. We returned on a Monday and what was to be the last phone call that would be made came through! I remember we sang and danced on that day....WE WERE PARENTS of a baby boy!!!!!

In October of this same year I became pregnant!!!! How well I remember grabbing the doctor (LITERALLY) and making him explain to me any other reasons a pregnancy test would appear as positive!!!!! BUT POSITIVE it was and for all the right reasons! On July 26th, number two blessing arrived. Jonathan David joined a brother who had just turned a year old! The two of them have been the joy of our lives....I gave up my career to become a full time mom. It took us 9 years to have them and I was not about to let someone else raise them!!!!! We did a DARN good job too!!! ***SMILES***

This is a picture of Jon after losing 55#s...what a handsome guy huh? Well he always was but for health reasons he has lost weight and we are so proud of him!

***MAJOR UPDATE***

Paul Anthony is engaged to a wonderful girl...Misty Jenks... they have set the wedding date for June 7th of 2003! I am so excited and we are both thrilled to welcome her into our family! It is very hard for us as there are so many miles that separate us from them but we have gotten to know her from a few trips back to NY! We wish them many blessings as they begin their new life together! I will be adding a new page following the wedding so please check back to see pictures!!!! Misty... we love you!

Last but not least..... We have added two new puppies to our family here in Tennessee... with no children here to pamper we added first, Bear...she thinks she is actually a human in everyway... she loves to swim and uses the pool every chance she gets!

Having one already spoiled puppy, we thought perhaps she would like a sister ..... so along came Speckles ... she was named before she arrived but a name to better suit her would be PIRANA as she loves to eat everything she can get her little teeth into!

I hope you have enjoyed meeting my family as much as I have enjoyed presenting them....God has blessed me many times over with the love I receive from them! Check back as I will be changing this page from time to time....NO I am NOT adding more kids...just changing the pictures!!!!! **GRINS**
