Royal Hobart Show ~ 27th October 2000
Well it all started on the Thursday night, it was the night before the show. My Mum decided to give me a bath, she scrubbed me and scrubbed me, rinsed and rubbed me, Oh I thought it would never end.
Then the next morning we had to get up really early, and I am not a morning dog. I really like to lay on the lounge and wait for the 2 legged kids to get up and give me lots of cuddles . But this was not to happen, Mum and the kids seemed to be running around like the birds I chase in the backyard.
Well finally everyone was organized, we all got in the car, and we where off. To some place called the SHOW, I have never been to one before. But it was great all these other dogs where there and I got to catch up with my best friend Winslow.
We did a lot of sitting around Mum kept on trying to get me to go to the toilet but too many other dogs where there and I think I was embarrassed, because it just was not happening for me.
Then we got to go into the "ring" that's a big piece of grass the humans and there dogs ran around and had to "stand" a silly way of making us Dogs look good.
Any way it was my turn to go to the Ring, off we went. Mum and I got to run around, I had to Stand and the lady in the red coat, gave me heaps of pats, she even let me give her a kiss. I think she liked me because she gave my Mum a blue ribbon, and she made us come back again later.
My Mum was so proud of me she gave me heaps of cuddles, lots of chicken and all the other kids in our family wouldn't stop telling me how good I was.
All in all it was a great day, we came home with a blue ribbon because I was Best Baby Puppy of Breed, and I made my Mum proud. My Mum rang my Grandma that night her name is Samantha Bradley (she is of the 2 legged variety) she was very proud of me too, and so was my real Mum Aust Ch Linbedach Twist N Shout I like to call her Kelsey.
I have a few more shows coming up one on the 16th of December another on the 1st of January and then again on the13th of January. So please come back and see if I can make my Mum proud again.
