Bil goes to Washington
About thirty miles south of the Twin Cities, Minneapolis and St. Paul, in Minnesota,is Faribault High School, home of the Falcons.

Here is where yet another participant of the Shakepeare Institute 2006 works.

During the school year, I am co-department chair and member of my school's site council.  My classroom responsibilities include Sophomore English, where I teach Macbeth, and Early American Literature, where a new text we are reviewing includes The Tempest!  In addition to teaching the regular school day, I teach a literature class at my local ALC (Alternate Learning Center).  On Wednesdays I work at a suburban Barnes and Noble.  Then on Thursdays I work with a developmentally delayed adult who is living independantly.  Oh, did I mention that I have been married to a wonderful woman named Ardie for the past fourteen years and we spoil our four grandchildren whenever possible.  When they aren't around we spoil Gracie, our basset hound?

And did I mention that my name is Bil Hoff?  I am the second most senior teacher at the Institute, but despite what someone said, that does not make me elderly.  I have put in two days so far at the Folger and already don't want it to end.  The people, both at the Folger and my fellow participants are the most "wicked awesome" bunch of gifted people I have ever been associated with.  In addition to learning valuable, practical Shakespearean curricular content, I am learning the value of true collequial sharing.

The strands covered at the Folger blend seamlessly to allow maximum benefit for the participants.  The only way this experience could be better is if it weren't so hot--in fact, it's been "as hot as fish grease."
