Welcome to my Island!!

There are just a few simple rules I ask that you comply with while visiting the island. In the spirit of safe diving, alcohol and drugs are prohibited, and no smoking please. The island is also a marine sanctuary, as such no hunting is allowed.

Here is a little history behind the island. The island is based on the book "Island of the Blue Dolphins" by Scott O'Dell, this believe it or not is my all time favorite book! The story takes place on the island of San Nicolas, which is the outermost of eight Channel Islands, San Nicolas is about 75 miles SW of Los Angeles. The years are between 1835 and 1853. It is the true story of a girl Robinson Crusoe. It is a story of strength, determination, ingenuity, and survival!

Fast forward to 2000, today San Nicolas is primarily used by the U.S. Navy, and is only occasionally diveable. The future of the island is unclear, scientists predict that due to the strong winds and pounding waves one day the island will be swept back into the sea.

In recent years I have relocated to North Carolina and am exploring the east coast waters. I love to travel so sometimes you might also find me someplace warm like Aruba, St. Martin, or maybe even Saba . With so many interesting destinations to choose from, where would you like to go ?

Please enjoy your visit, and tell your friends!
