Week 2 Scores

Meek Boys 154
Bemay Gizzards 91

The Meeks lay another win on the table with a blowout
over the Gizzards. The Meeks had 5 over 20 points
this week, including Peyton Manning and the Tampa
defense with 33 each, Marshall Faulk with 26, and
James Thrash and Marvin Harrison with 22 each. The
Gizzards were led by Edgerrin James with 24 points
and another 23 from the Chicago defense. The Meeks --
seemingly as usual -- are a perfect 2-0, and the
Gizzards drop back to 1-1.

American Looney 128
West Texas Mustangs 71

Each team threw up a pair of zeroes on their lineup,
but only the Loons could bring a 63-point player to
the table. The Looney got those 63 from Drew Bledsoe
who went on a yardage spree. They also got 29 from
Lamar Smith. The Nags got 27 from QB Steve McNair
and dribs and drabs elsewhere. The Looney escape the
winless group and move to 1-1. The Nags are a
"perfect" 0-2.

Mark's Mules 150
Outlanders 128

The Mules brought some big guns this week to move
past the Outlanders by 22. Rich Gannon led the
Mules with 47 points. They also got 31 from Fred
Taylor and 23 from kicker Adam Vinatieri. Daunte
Culpepper led all scorers with 52 points for the
Outlanders. They also got 25 from the Cleveland
defense. The Mules are a perfect 2-0, while the
Outlanders fall to 0-2 despite some good scoring.

Dawgs 196
Pigskin Pipsqueaks 101

CHOMP! That's the sound of the Dawgs devouring
the chew toy that used to be the Pipsqueaks. The
Dawgs got double digit performances from every
player except one, and he got 9 points. Donovan
McNabb led all scorers with 51 points for the Dawgs.
They got 41 more from Peerless Price, 28 from Rickey
Williams, and 20 from the Steelers' defense. Brett
Favre led the Pips points-wise with 39. They also
got 26 from Deuce McAllister. The Dawgs and Pips are
now both 1-1.

Missouri Manglers 107
Butchers 103

The Manglers edged the Butchers this week by a mere
4 points. Thomas Jones of the Manglers led all
scorers with 34 points. They also got 32 from Jeff
Garcia. The New England defense garnered 30 points
for the Butchers and led their team. They also got
23 from QB Drew Brees. Each team is 1-1.

McKamikaze Highlanders 102
WhoDey 86

I honestly didn't expect my boys to win this game,
but I got a nice comeback off of last night's game.
Whew! Kurt Warner led the Commish's boys with 31
points. The Highlanders also got 23 from the Philly
defense and 20 from Sebastian Janikowski. Jay
Fiedler of WhoDey led all scorers with 38 points.
They got 22 more from Charlie Garner. These teams
complete the parity in the Lombardi Division, making
four 1-1 teams.
