Week 11 Scores
WhoDey 47
Butchers 120
Even Trent Green with 26 points couldn't get the WhoDey
going. The Baltimore DS had zero for them, unbelievable.
For the Butchers, Brien Griese got 19 before being
knocked out of the game, and the Denver DS scored 28.
But, what about these Steeler receivers? This week it
is Hines Ward racking up 42 BFL points to complete the
win. The Butchers get above .500 to 6-5 and the WhoDey
fall to 3-8.
Dawgs 174
Outlanders 151
The Outlanders bad luck continues, they could have beat
anybody else in the league this week, but they just
happened to be playing against the Dawg's Donovan McNabb
(he had a little bad luck this week, too.) McNabb threw
4 TDs for 47 BFL points, Donald Driver had a 82 yd TD,
and ended up with 28, Joe Horn had a 57 yd TD, and end up
with 31, and Rickey William scored twice, for 29 points.
The Outlanders countered with 46 points from Aaron Brooks,
Chad Johnson had a 72 yd TD and 28 BFL points, Eddie George
had 2 TDs and 23 points. Lots of people scored lots more
points for these 2 teams, my hand was tired after adding
them all up. The Dawgs stay in front in the Lombardi
Division at 6-5 and the Outlanders playoff hopes are not
good now, at 2-9. (John, you should have a long talk with
whoever made the schedule up this year, but I have had it
happen to me, too.)
Highlanders 113
Am Looney 120
The Looney continue to win with solid performances from
Drew Bledsoe with 27 points, Duce Staley had a big game
for 31, and the Colts DS kicked in 25. The Highlanders
had a lot of their usual scorers not put up quite enough
numbers to win this game, though Terrell Owens kicked some
BFL butt again scoring 44 points, they also got 15 from
Sebastian Janikowski, but Tom Brady could only come up
with 17 points, and neither Jerry Rice, Tim Brown, Garrison
Hearst or Tiki Barber could find the endzone this weekend.
The Looney roll on and are now 7-4, while the Highlanders
go to 5-6.
Pipsqueaks 113
Gizzards 137
The Gizzards win with good scoring from most every position,
the one low spot being Amos Zereous who had been lighting up
the scoreboard the last few weeks only getting 3. But, Tim
Couch threw 3 TDs and got 39 BFL points, Randy Moss had 22,
Amani Toomer had 19, and almost everybody else was in double
digits, when you add all that up, you get a good score.
Everybody said Brett Favre had a 'bad day', well he still
managed to score 45 BFL points for the Pipsqueaks, I wouldn't
call that bad. They also got 15 apiece from the Miami DS and
Olindo Mare, but usual scoring machine Duece McAllister left
the game injured, with only 6. The Gizzards try to reach .500
next week and are now 5-6, while the Pipsqueaks fall to 3-8.
Meek Boys 141
Manglers 123
The Dallas defense held the Manning\Harrison connection for
almost the whole game, but in the end they just wore out, and
Peyton ended up with 37 BFL points and Marvin with 32.
Clinton Portis had 21, but the biggest difference was defense,
defense, defense! Tampa Bay DS came up with 28 for the Meeks,
the Manglers NY Jets DS could only manage 5. Jeff Garcia lead
the league in scoring again this week with 54 points for the
Manglers, and Priest Holmes had 19, but just not enough
players scoring touchdowns. The Meeks have certainly clinched
a playoff spot at 10-1 but not their division just yet, and
the Manglers look to stay above .500 next week, falling to 6-5.
Mustangs 96
Mules 100
In the words of Scott, the Edge Close Shave of the week goes
to the Mules by 4 points. You all should add your scores, but
I'm pretty sure they are right. Rich Gannon of the Mules
didn't throw any touchdown passes this week (much to the
chagrin of the Highlanders), but he did run for one and threw
for yardage, ending up the high scorer in the game with 36
points. Michael Bennett also had another great game with 130
yards for 15 points (now, if they would just give him the ball
at the goal line, he could begin scoring big). The Atlanta DS
had 16, Anthony Thomas 13, and David Akers kicked in 14
more this week for the Mules. The Mustangs after running wild
last week, couldn't get the scoring they needed (and usually
get) from Plaxico Burress who only had 3 and the Pittsburgh DS
which only managed 5. They did get 29 from Joey Harrington, 16
from Ahman Green, 15 from Curtis Martin and 13 from Laverneous
Coles, but not quite enough. Again, the Mules at 9-2, are assured
of a playoff spot, but haven't clinched the division yet, while
the Mustangs are now 4-7.
