Week 1 Scores

Good week. Close week, too! Four games were decided
by 10 points or so. Here are the results:

Bemee Gizzards 126
American Looney 115

The Gizzards edged the Loons, simply put. Brad Johnson
led the Gizzards with 37 points. They also got 22 from
Stephen Davis. The Looney were led by QB Drew Bledsoe
with 34 points. They got 22 more from LaDainian Tomlinson.
The Gizzards start off 1-0, and the Loons drop to 0-1.

Mark's Mules 130
Missouri Manglers 124

"J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets!" was the crying coming from
Mark's place on Sunday, watching Mr. Special Teams, Chad
Morton, carry the Mules to victory over the Manglers. The
Mules got 43 points from the Jets' defense and 33 more
from Rich Gannon to win. The Manglers got 43, too, from
Priest Holmes. Jeff Garcia also threw in another 21 in
the loss. Mules win (1-0), Manglers lose (0-1).

WhoDey 137
Dawgs 119

Personally, I think this is an upset, but congrats to Al
for winning his first game. WhoDey were led by Charlie
Garner with 38 points. They also got 35 from Jay Fiedler
and 23 more from Qadry Ismail. The Dawgs were led by
Donovan McNabb with 36 points. They got 26 more from
Rickey Williams. WhoDey strut up to 1-0, and the Dawgs
fall back to a winless 0-1.

Butchers 116
Outlanders 111

Once again, it's defense, defense, defense, as the Butchers
ride the Patriots' Monday night win to victory over the
Outlanders. The Patriots' defense scored 35 points from the
Butchers. They also got 26 from young QB Drew Brees and
another 21 off Ryan Longwell's foot. Daunte Culpepper of
the Outlanders led all scorers with 37 points. The
Outlanders also got another 25 from David Boston and 20 more
from Eddie George. The Butchers' upset moves them to 1-0,
and the Outlanders drop to 0-1.

Meek Boys 144
West Texas Mustangs 77

In the only blow-out of the week, the Meeks began their quest
for yet another Electron Bowl win with a 67-point shellacking
of the 'Nags. Peyton Manning led all scorers with 36 points
for the Meeks. They also got 31 from Marty Booker and 22 more
from Eric Moulds. The Mustangs were led by Vinny Testaverde
with 31 points. They got 21 more from Ahman Green. The Meeks
move to 1-0, and the 'Nags drop to 0-1.

Pigskin Pipsqueaks 116
McKamikaze Highlanders 107

Brett Favre all the way ... that's why I grabbed him in my
other fantasy league. ;) In any case, the Pips rode Favre's
38 points to victory. They also got 31 from the Dolphins'
defense. Kurt Warner led the Highlanders with 31 points. They
got 22 more from the Eagles' defense. The Pips start out 1-0,
and the Commish's boys start 0-1 ... again.

Great week, everyone!
