2008: Bothered by a hamstring strain and a broken thumb during Spring Training with San Diego....Optioned to Class AAA Portland (Pacific Coast League) 3/27....called back to Majors 4/15....suffered first-degree sprained ulnar collateral in his right elbow during relief appearance 5/6 at Atlanta....placed on 15-day disabled list retroactive to 5/7 on 5/8 (first-degree sprained ulnar collateral, right elbow)....began rehab assignment with AZL Padres 7/7....continued rehab with Portland 7/13....activated from Major League disabled list 7/29 and re-assigned to Portland roster....placed on Portland disabled list 8/13 with a right elbow strain....Removed from 40-man roster and outrighted to Class AAA Portland 10/8

2007: Made Major League debut for San Diego Padres with two innings of scoreless relief 4/5 at San Francisco....retired first hitter he faced, Barry Bonds, on a fly ball to right....did not allow a run in first 11 Major League outings....also set a Padres record with 17.1 innings of scoreless work to begin his career....by the All-Star Break, had allowed just one run in 29.1 innings to rank as the all-time Major League ERA leader for pitchers who have worked 12 or more career innings....also retired Barry Bonds on ground ball to first 8/3 when all-time home run leader was seeking No. 755....picked up first MLB win with two innings of scoreless relief to finish out 11-inning affair 8/10 at Cincinnati.

2006: Promoted to Class AAA Rochester....collected first save with three scoreless innings of relief 4/17 vs. Richmond....went 3-0 with two saves and 1.93 ERA in month of April....picked up five saves in 10 relief appearances during July....limited left-handed batters to .196 average and no home runs....also pitched for Mesa Solar Sox of the Arizona Fall League....selected by San Diego 12/7 in the Major League phase of the Rule 5 draft.

2005: Re-assigned to Class AA New Britain....placed on seven-day disabled list 4/29....activated from disabled list 5/23.

2004: Promoted to Class A Fort Myers (Florida State League)....moved up to Class AA New Britain 6/17.

2003: Assigned to Class A Quad City (Midwest League)....placed on disabled list 7/6 (shoulder tendinitis)....reactivated 7/25.

2002: Missed entire 2002 season while recovering from surgery to repair labrum tear in the right shoulder.

2001: Worked an inning of scoreless relief in season debut at nationally-ranked Rice 2/10....gained save with three inning relief stint 2/11 vs. Nebraska....moved into starting rotation after Brian Sager encountered arm problems....allowed only a third-inning bunt single while striking out seven in seven-inning blanking of Oakland University 2/27....continued in starting rotation posting wins vs. Rutgers 3/4 and Kent 3/18....struck out career-high 10 batters in just five innings in victory at Virginia 4/1....earned save of season against Florida State 4/29....gained victory as starter in ACC Tournament opener against Duke....named to the Dean's List for spring semester....signed professional contract 6/9 after being selected in the 13th Round (377 overall) by Minnesota Twins....assigned to Class A Elizabethton (Appalachian League)....named Rolaids' Relief Man for July, compiling 20 points with six saves and a 1-0 record....finished second in Appalachian League with 13 saves.

2000: Sophomore who shined in pivotal spots out of the bullpen in 2000....Made 23 appearances on the season, the third highest total on the Tech staff, and tossed 49 innings....Went 3-0 with one save in 12 appearances against ACC opponents....Had the best ground ball to fly ball ratio on the Tech staff, forcing more than two ground outs for every fly out....Picked up the win in relief in the ACC Championship game against Clemson....Threw a total of 1.1 innings and did not allow an earned run in two appearances in the ACC Tournament....Tossed 5.2 innings of solid relief against Clemson on April 29, allowing just two runs and four hits, while picking up the win in Tech's 9-7 victory....Went five innings and allowed just one run against Georgia State on Feb. 16 to pick up the win....Came in with two out in the top of the ninth against second-ranked and then undefeated North Carolina, and struck out Tyrell Godwin to preserve Tech's 5-4 win and pick up his only save of the season....Picked up a victory in the second game of the season at Georgia Southern on Feb. 13, throwing 2.1 shutout innings....Did not appear in the NCAA Regionals....spent summer with Northern Ohio Baseball of Great Lakes League....Named to Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Honor Roll for 1999-2000.

1999: Third on the staff in appearances (18) and second among the rookie hurlers....Allowed no runs in eight of those games....Threw three shutout innings, striking out five against Georgia State on Feb. 28 to record a save....Picked up his first career win against Howard on Mar. 24 by throwing 2.2 shutout innings and allowing just one hit....Recorded his second win in his next appearance on Apr. 3 at Virginia allowing no runs and a single hit in 2.2 innings....Victimized by big innings on four occasions, yielding six runs to Charleston Southern on Mar. 3, four to Kent on Mar. 20, seven to Wake Forest on Apr. 17, and eight to Florida State on May 1....Made eight appearances in ACC games (10.2 inn., 1-1 record, 10.97 ERA)....ACC Tournament: one appearance vs. North Carolina (one inning, one run, one hit)....Played summer ball for Lima Locos of the Great Lakes League.
