31 Brimley Street, Cornubia, Qld 4130 Phone 0439 739988 All 2004 Club Members Dear Members, It is with deep regret that I have to inform you that the Beaudesert Motorcycle Club will not be operating Trail rides in 2005. This decision was made at the AGM on December the 4th 2004 and was made by the Clubs members who attended the AGM. This decision was made due to the poor numbers of both riders and helpers that have attended the club rides in 2004 (Average attendance 35 riders, 4 set-up helpers). This decision was made for two reasons: 1: The cost to the club to set up and run trail rides for 35 riders was economically unsustainable as the costs incurred were more than the income from the trail ride and the Club would go broke. 2: The club members who did all the set up this year had, had enough as these same club members have been doing the job for the last 2 or more years. The motion put forward was that the club suspend all Trail Rides and not affiliate with MAQ Motorcycling Queensland (cost of affiliation $450) for the 2005 Year, or until a time in 2005 that the Club executive committee can gain enough rider and helper support to start Trail Rides again. The motion was passed with much regret. Just a note; the Beaudesert Motorcycle Club is in a very good financial state with money in the bank and all Club property owned by the Club. Club property includes 2 trailers, all set up gear, full set of motor cross flags, etc: Except for the end of year accounting fee, (which the club can cover with no problem) No money is owed by the club.
