View from Happy Top
The view of the North and South forks, where the Kentucky
River forms, is taken from near the church on Happy Top. Happy Top is located
just off Highway 52 (Irvine Road) on the west side of Beattyville. The Kiwanis
Club's Kentucky River Overlook Park provides visitors with a paved
walking and jogging path -- along which one may enjoy exceptional
scenic views of Beattyville & Lee County. Each summer the Kiwanis
host the Beattyville Homecoming and Carnival on Happy Top.
