America—aren't you proud?

Imagine the insanity of putting the police department—the Department of "Safety"—in charge of pilot licensing and enforcement of flight regulations:

Would commuter pilots tolerate flying on the firing line?

The Department of "Safety" would give no training to pilots (as was the government's practice in the early days of aviation). No flight schools would be required, and if a pilot paid for flight training at a private school, no additional privileges would be permitted on his pilot's license or in lowering his insurance payments. No additional license would be given to trained pilots compared to untrained pilots. Police would never educate pilots in emergency procedures, since such information might make pilots more daring. Police would only give pilots a ten-minute flight test (which like a motorcycle test would be viewed safely from a distance or pencil-whipped) and a ten-minute written test, and would intentionally censor much critical knowledge from pilots. Likewise, police pilots would receive no training in high-speed flying or high-speed chasing through commuter air-traffic.

No radio equipment would be allowed to enable pilots to communicate with each other or with the airports, since this would be considered a "distraction." No "noncommunication" (navigation) radio equipment would be allowed, since that would reduce the number of technical violations the pilots could be prosecuted for, reducing the revenue to the government. Only cops would be allowed to use radar equipment, since it would be considered heresy for pilots to use such hi-tech radios for personal benefit. Only cops could use computers for information transmission and retrieval with government transportation agencies.

Cops would fly expensive government aircraft equipped with flashing blue lights and the latest technology including weapons used for killing people, and would burn fuel nonstop while cruising the skies searching for pilots who commit the tiniest of technical infractions. This of course would prevent the sky cops from conducting other police work, but every now and then police might accidentally meet a pilot previously suspected of committing robbery, rape or murder. The American government would legally require their sky cops to be "self supporting" in their revenue gathering efforts, yet would publicly declare that any such quotas would be clearly illegal.

The sky cops would attempt to hide their positions from pilots by concealing themselves in clouds, pouncing on criminalized pilots by diving down at high speed like a government fighter pilot in time of war. The citizen pilot would be instantly forced to make an emergency landing on the nearest strip of open grass, and would not be allowed to land at the nearest airport. Sometime police would fly unmarked aircraft using only a tiny flashing blue light for identification, yet would still expect pilots to trust such police "credentials" even after criminals used similar scams to rape, rob and kill pilots. "Profiling" would be used to stop any pilot who dared to not violate any traffic regulations, since owning an old plane, a new plane, flying out of state or having an air freshener dangling from the magnetic compass was "probable cause" the pilot was transporting prohibited drugs.

If the pilot chose to ignore the cop's intrusion on his Constitutional right to free travel in a free democracy, the cop would be authorized to use deadly force by ramming or shooting down the pilot's aircraft, even when thousands of innocent passengers and bystanders are killed. Modern technology would be developed to allow police to instantly switch off the engines of any aircraft they chose, even if it meant causing the plane to crash.

Assuming the pilot did consent to making an emergency landing on the nearest strip of grass, dirt, gravel or busy commuter highway, the sky cop would carry a gun when he or she walked up to the grounded pilot, since there would be a 1/10,000th possibility of a dangerous encounter with a dangerous felon.

If the grounded pilot verbally questioned the inconvenience, authority or ethics of the sky cop's detention, the cop would be given full authority to assault the pilot for "contempt of sky-cop" ("resisting arrest") or could legally execute the citizen on the spot. Any aircraft could be seized for "probable cause" under drug-prohibition laws, even when no drugs were found or when the pilot and passengers were never charged with a drug crime, since the law alleges the aircraft is the guilty party, not the person.

Flight speed limits would be artificially set at a lower speed by any of the 10,000 American governments, or the 500 Native-American governments, although the national government set the maximum speed limit at 70 miles per hour. Different laws for each of the 10,500 governments would be classified Top Secret so that citizen-pilots could not learn how to be law-abiding. This of course would eliminate the majority of hi-tech modern aircraft from flying, since they could not take off or would fall out of the sky at such a low speed. This artificial speed limit would require air vehicles to constructed with old technology, and even then would put pilots at risk of stalling their aircraft and crashing.

The professional corporate media would be fully supportive of this status quo, and would list the names of pilots and passengers who violated the flying laws, causing many to lose their jobs, careers and marriages. Insurance companies would rebel against the increased expense of paying for crash damages, and would pay legalized bribes so the politicians would vote for legislation allowing the insurance companies to increase premiums on all pilots who get technical infractions. Causes of accidental air crashes would always be blamed on pilot error and technical violations rather than on the government's inferior transportation facilities and the nonexistence of pilot training. No recurrent flight training would be required or offered.

Jails are to be filled with pilots caught committing technical infractions rather than with violent and predatory offenders. Judges would give pilots involved in accidental crashes life sentences or death penalties. Pilots and passengers would be prohibited from seeking medical care with prescription medicines (increasing the risk of in-flight disease), and prohibited from using recreational alcohol for stress relief within 24 hours of flight, and prohibited from using recreational drugs within one year of flight (increasing the risk of in-flight psychiatric instability).

Random police runway-blocks and roving police flight stops would interrogate aircraft owners and passengers regarding the prohibited use of all such chemicals, which would yield many "confessions" since the professional media censored such legal prohibitions from being reported to the public. Air-cops would use their drug-dogs to sniff all parked aircraft, and break into every aircraft that the drug-dogs gave the tiniest indication towards. Media and government would work together on a propaganda campaign to brainwash the public into tolerating these prohibitions without question, using coded slogans such as "Drink, Fly, Die!" and "It's your choice: Flyways or Dieways!"

Although thousands of police pilots were arrested for drug dealing, drunk flying, rape, robbery and murder, police pilots would always be presumed to be perfectly honest when testifying in court against citizen pilots. Criminal records of sky-cops would be classified Top Secret and would protect convicted cops from losing their "law enforcement" careers. Air-cops could crash as often as they wanted to without fear of getting fired, so long as they wrote plenty of tickets, made plenty of arrests and seized many aircraft. Sky-cops who write many citations would be rewarded with Caribbean cruises, and sky-cops who seize cash would be allowed to spend it on expensive vacations. Many sky-cops would resell the drugs they confiscate, increasing their income ten-fold. All sky-cop departments would resell the weapons they confiscate, even bazookas, in order to increase their profit margin and to increase their salaries.

Air-traffic courts would be "streamlined" to produce maximum revenue for their governments by eliminating virtually all legal rights of accused pilots. Many air-court judges would not even be lawyers or have any education in the Bill of Rights and the U.S. Constitution. No "public defender" lawyers would be allowed to accused pilots in air-court. Any pilot that attempted to fight his or her case in air-court would be threatened by the "judge" with a six-month prison sentence. Only pilots who could afford a $10,000 legal defense in a higher court would have any legal rights as an American citizen, yet even then would face a jury composed of handpicked conservative voters who favored Prohibition ("jury-rigged").

The "news" media would air T.V. programs of "AirCops" showing how evil the accused air-criminals are and how "exciting" it is to watch air-chases and air-crashes. Arrested pilots would be shown crying and begging for mercy and legal advice from air-cops, who would scream at the pilots and their passengers as they handcuffed them and put them into cages. Citzens could rent "snuff" videos at their local Blockbuster store in order to watch the thrill of air-cops shooting unarmed pilots sitting in their planes.

Accused NON-pilots would be exhibited on the TeeVee disinfotainment show "Judge Loony" trying to self-argue their own cases without any legal education in the rules and tricks of court. Sky-court would never be shown on TeeVee, despite representing 90% of all "law enforcement". That way "pilot-criminals" would never figure out how to commit "air-crimes", and citizen-pilots would not witness the travesty of American justice in the so-called air-courts. Children would get indoctrinated with submission to the police state by watching sky-cop "detective" shows and by random police searches of their personal belongings and personal vehicles on school property. Sky-DARE-cops would speak at schools in the attempt to frighten the kids and to brainwash -- er, convince -- the kids to become informers for the government against their parents. Drink-flying Troopers would lecture at schools, telling students scary stories of Troopers refusing to pull screaming babies out of burning airplanes, and would assault students on stage and homosexually kiss them while making a video of this "lecture". These videos would show sky-troopers waving their batons in the air and promising "to beat the hell" out of students if they ever drink-and-fly. Sky-cops assigned to schools would beat the heck out of screaming students, so that school teachers would not be accused of child abuse via paddling. In "rough" schools, Air Force "anti-terrorist" sky-cops would work undercover pretending to be school kids, with orders to shoot-to-kill any student carrying a gun for self-defense. Basically, citizens would be beaten into submission one way or another, either with mental abuse or physical abuse.

Many intelligent people would agree that such a "Dark-Age" transportation system could only exist in nations such as Nazi Germany, or Communist Russia or Communist China. Yet this is exactly the transportation system that Republic America uses for its citizens who travel via automobiles. Not even intelligent lawyers such as Ralph Nader or former-prosecutor Bill Clinton would dare recommend such a ludicrous government policy to "improve" motor vehicle safety.

Or would they? In 1999, professional golfer Payne Stewart's Lear Jet lost cabin pressure at 41,000 feet, cutting off oxygen to the crew and passengers. Pentagon generals reported in news briefings that USAF F-16 pilots "planned" to shoot down the civilian aircraft if it "approached Canadian airspace". The intercontinental jet enventually crashed short of the border, supposedly due to running out of fuel. Note that the Canadian military and immigration officials didn't give a damn whether the disabled aircraft crossed its border and crashed in the wilderness.

Why couldn't the USAF escort it to the border and let Candian Air Force take it from there? What the fuck was the Pentagon up to? Setting up a Fascist Iron Curtain, like the defunct Berlin Wall, where US citizens cannot escape without being shot?
