My name is Irina Barkovskaya, I am an artist -
ceramist. I live in Moscow, Russia. After graduating from
Moscow Higher School of Arts (the former Stroganovskoye
School) in 1967 I worked in the ornamental plastic arts,
making floor vases, reliefs in ceramics intended for the
interiors of public buildings, such as Moscow House of
Cinema, Moscow Institute of Beauty,
"Cosmos" Hotel, etc. |

Since 1966 I have participated
every year in Moscow, Republican, allunion and International
exhibitions (over 50). I am a member of the Union of Artists of
Russia from 1973. My favorite genre - animal sculptures
(material: fire-clay, majolica, faience). My works are in the
reserves of the All-Russia Museum of Decorative Applied Art,
Moscow Museum of Modern Art, Ministry of Culture of Russia, Union
of Artists of Russia, etc., and in private collections.
I love animals
very much. Dogs live in my house more than 20 years, and I have
Persians cats more than 10 years. All my pets live free as our
friends with us in the my country
house and they are my beautiful alive models . Below are submitted some my ceramic sculptures.
In this year the honorary title the "Deserved
Artist of Russia" is given to me by the decree of the
President of Russia !
