2856.03.20 (March 17th, 2001) Today was the hatching!  You cannot beleive how excited I was; I had butterflies in my stomach throughout the entire thing, and Impressed last.  I Impressed a beautiful, wonderful, brown dragonet!  The highest ranked one in the entire clutch!  There were two other blues and two greens, which surprised me; with a rare father and a Christmas mother, I would of thought that there would be a rare.  Ah, well, Stonith is much better than any rare!  Oh, yeah, Stonith is my brown!  He is wonderful, twenty times better than those pitiful little blues! He was the very, very first to hatching, and the hatching was actually rather strange.  All of the hatchlings assembled first before choosing.  Stonith was the first to hatch and the last to choose.  All of the boys are slightly angry at me; I, a girl, Impressed the only brown, leaving them with blues and greens!  The other girl who Impressed, Vaerra, Impressed a green dragonet.  The boys Impressed two blues and one green.  I am so excited, Stonith is here and has eaten!  However, he refuses to fall asleep until I do.  I must go and coax him now! Oh, yes, wonderful news!  Tarril stood at another hatching and Impressed a green!  I can't wait to see her reaction when she learns that I've Impressed a brown! 2856.03.28 (March 25th, 2001) Stonith has grown to the point where most people consider him to be a "weyrling" in age, and I am so proud of him.  He is tiny compared to other browns, but with two rares for parents, you can't expect a huge brown.  However, he is growing more every day, and I was finally able to fly with him!  I am so excited that you cannot believe it.  Flying is like being as free as a bird, and it's just wonderful.  Oh, I am going to have to transfer to another Weyr whenever Stonith becomes an adult, for at Istabithas only certian riders can stay.  I am looking at several differant Weyrs; I am not going to the one where Tarril Impressed a green!  Cincanta and Tarizal look pretty good, along with Talis.  I need to make up my mind soon! 2856.04.19 (April 13th, 2001) I finally decided which Weyr that I am going to transfer to: Tarizal.  It needs dragons, for it is a very new Weyr, and their wings are very low.  They are currently getting help from other Weyrs, and I figure that it would help them, and I would be pretty happy there.  Stonith is an adult now, and I'm not sure how much more time I will have to write in my journal, for he takes up almost all of my time.  Ah, well, I am going to go to Tarizal! 2856.04.22 (April 16th, 2001) Well, we arrived at Tarizal today, and what everyone said about it being small is true.  There's only one gold, and three adult bronzes.  There is, however, a hatchling bronze.  The main portion of this Weyr is weyrlings and Candidates, so I hope that they Impress soon!  I am so thankful that I am finally here, though, because it seemed like it took forever.  I may be back for the green Juwanth's flight, however.
