Cerlayn, Continued

With an uncertian step forewards, Cerlayn found herself inside the cavern, three green dragons staring up at her.  "These are Irrawath, Brennath, and Aelanth," The boy said, gesturing to each of the dragons in turn.  "They probably won't ever rise, and they'll never be as cheerful as a regular dragon, unless you're wonderful in caring for them."  However, after the word "Irrawath," Cerlayn didn't hear anything at all, other than the green's anxious voice.

Irrawath was a beautiful emerald green, and for a half a moment Cerlayn couldn't get over the green's amazing beauty.  She was small for a green, but powerfully built.  Cerlayn could tell that once the green got out and ate something, she would be a sleek beauty.  Irrawath turned her huge head to Cerlayn, her dull green eyes beginning to pick up speed as her eyes met Cerlayn's.

For a moment, Cerlayn didn't speak, and for a moment as the boy began to smile.  She was caught up in the moment of the dragon staring at her, and her at the dragon.

Are you here for me, Cerlayn? The green asked, stumbling clumsily over to Cerlayn, who wrapped her arms around the green's drooping neck.

"Yes, Irrawath, I am here for you," She said, tears streaming down her face as the young boy smiled at her brightly.  "If only Marnil was here, I could prove to her that I have done something right," She sighed, wondering about how much money she had; Marnil did need some.
