Surrounded by jungle with monkeys in the trees, it is a perfect place to enjoy the beauty of Costa Rica in a relaxing atmosphere. It is located on a 4 mile long sandy beach with warm water, great for swimming and boogie boarding, as well as horseback riding. It is a 20 minute walk to the small village of Tambor with several shops and restaurants, and a 50 minute bus ride to the larger village of Montezuma known for its white sand beach and waterfalls.
There are 402 rooms located in 2-storey buildings, a wonderful buffet restaurant plus a specialty a la carte restaurant and a snack bar by the pool.
The swimming pool is huge, with a swim up bar and activities such as water aerobics and water volleyball.
There is an ecological park next to the resort (no charge) with nature trails to view the monkeys and other wildlife.
All your meals, drinks, entertainment and activities are included for one low price. The 2006 rates are $75/nt per adult and $30/nt per child. Activities included are: boogie boards, kayaks, sailboats, windsurfing, tennis, archery, volleyball, aerobics, & table tennis. Taxes & tips are also included.
The resort has its own horse stables, with 2 hour horseback rides available for only $25 per person.
Excursions are available to nearby Curu National Park for hiking nature trails, Tortuga Island for snorkelling, Montezuma for hiking to waterfalls, canopy tour, & souveneir shopping, and to Malpais for surfing lessons.
