 That looks like my great-grandfather, Will Carrington, heading out to the barn to milk the cows. Thanks to a DAR application that my grandmother Laura Carrington, filled out, we can trace our family back to Peter Carrington and Ann Wilmot. This line also includes Dudley, Whittlesey/Whittelsey, Pomeroy, Starr, Hooker, and others. Her son, Ralph Ricketts,is my father.My mother, Virginia Catherine Breniser, was born in Michigan. Her paternal ancestors, Breniser/Brenneisen are from Germany. Her maternal ancestors Crane, Bachelor, and Sanborn are from England. All three of these lines can be traced back to the 1600s.
