Acknowledgements: I would like to thank: Myself, for writing the novel Lisha Gu, for her constant support (she got me into writing this thing in the first place) The FAB FOUR: Dana, for being the optimistic and encouraging person that she is Pooja, (Dharia), for being happy all the time Hansika, for putting up with my duet with Jones in science class. Finally, Joanne (Fu) for her nonchalant nature and lack of care for just about everything. It's a characteristic that all writers dream of, and the stuff legends are made of. (They're the personalities that my witches were modeled after.) I would NOT like to thank my parents for this novel, (instead for my birth) because they think writing is a BIG waste of my time, (unless its in chinese), which it probably will be. Oana Trif, my non-blooded sister, whom I've admired for purity and strength, and the most competent librarian for ages on end. Thank you, Oana, for being the purest and dearest of my friends. Her future that I see is unlimited, and is the most intelligent person I have ever met. I have many friends, and many enemies, and my vision is seldom wrong. Her strength will be the source of her success, and the best of luck to her future. Unmeel Banerjea, for loaning me The Amber Spyglass, quickly becoming my favorite novel, and for editng my egotistical piece of work. ---------------------------------------------- Lastly, I would like to thank ANAS HASHMI, for driving out the murderous instinct in me through his various ignorant comments and whatnot. And for being a constant source of feces dishing entertainment at lunch. |
Ekta Patel, for calling me a dumass Orson Scott Card, for being my inspiration and the creation of characters like The Hegemon and Alvin Maker, of whom I fell deeply in love with. And my best wishes to Hatrack, the next generation of writers. George Bush, for being a monkey, but not just any monkey, but the best damn monkey EVER Black Isle, for the best RPGs ever Faithful readers who's been with me every step of the way and have nothing better to do than read my novel My dearest friends at Columbia, who just likes to sit there and act smart Myself, (again) Mrs Ruch, for her unbelievable tolerance Mrs. Behr, whom my honest thanks goes to, for believing in me. Those of you who signed and tolerated my guestbook And all my hope and faith goes to the younger freshmen class, like Larry Liang or Asha Patel, for offering me hope to the innocence and youth of America, and light to an otherwise dark world; for altering the time-honored roots of the word "freshmen", into perhaps not so fresh but deeply subtle and mature teenagers whose words shake like thunder when spoken. I love all of you. If the novel falls through (which it might), i'llstill appreciate your support, always. |
The story line is choppy and the descriptions vague. It's just a first draft. I'll dress it up after im done. |
Selection from my novel: ...His eyes closed, the anticipation of eternal oblivion grasping at his throat, tighter, and tighter, choking him, creating a vacuum beneath his lungs, pulling them down, lower, lower. His heart thudded with the last beat, crashing against his ribcage. His eyes flickered, and his chest tightened, but he welcomed the relishing on coming of the wave of darkness, soon to blanket him. Onward, he thought, death is not feared, for with his death, the price for Oana’s life shall be brought. ... |
I update the poems section with new poems almost every week. Read them, and tell me what you think of them. I hope they're good, as i'm newer to poetry than I am to prose. I'm trying to get into love poems, but it's just not working right. |
Updates in story line since my last upload: Lord Nalia gives up his life, for the only thing that mattered to him, not by the bidding of Estrel, but someone, or something, else. |
Books I recommend: Enchantment By Orson Scott Card Rating: 10 ABSOLUTELY the best single hit by card. "Only a fool would want to live in a Russian fairy tale, for the princess usually get killed" Ivan was a boy when he stumbled onto that patch of clearing amidst the Carpathian Forest, and on the pedestal was a sleeping maiden, more beautiful than anything he ever saw. Then the bushes around him rustled. He was scared. He ran. Now Ivan is a grad student in America, engaged to be married. But his dreams kept haunting him, back to that day in the forest, and finally, he returns, to that pedestal, to that maiden. Only this time, he doesn't run. Only this time, he awakens the beauty, with a kiss. |
Music I recommend: ButterFly Lovers Violin Concerto, lesser known as Liang Zhu |
EVERYONE should read Orson Scott Card He's the best damn author around. He writes provocative and crisp plots with excellent pan around the protagonist. Get into his works.. you won't be disappointed. Start with his Alvin Maker series, and work up to the Homecoming Saga. |

Who is Li? That must be one of your more gossiping questions for me. The answer, simple. Li is an entity; a personality I love very much. Her personality is what all writer's dream of - carefree, innocent, amiable... I'm just glad I found her in time to use her as a semi-protagonist. |
I would like to thank Unmeel Banerjea, for being the main editor of my short little piece of work. |
