Bailey's Place

This is Bailey The Dawg.  He just over 2 years old now and he is a wonderful dog.  He loves the water, as most labs do, and we have a hard time keeping him out of it.  He also LOVES the Dog Park.  It is one of the only places that he can go to to run around without a leash with some of his friends. A lot has changed for him lately.  We recently got him a girlfriend (well, when she grows up).  Her name is Kahlua and she is a chocolate lab.  They immediately became the best of friends.  Whatever they do, they are never apart.  We also noticed a big change in Bailey.  He calmed down and grew up.  He acts as if he knows that he is the adult dog and he has to set a good example for her.  He has never been more well behaved.  And he plays with her constantly.  We were scared at first that he might be too rough with her, but he is as gentle as a teddy bear.  She is the one that is rough with him.  She uses him as her chew toy and he just sits there as if he doesn't even feel it. 

Bailey came to live with us in February 2001.  He was born in Homestead Florida to Meyer's Rocky Road and Honey Bee XXIV.  He was one of 9 puppies that grew up with their parents, as well as another young lab on over an acre of land.  

He is very smart and performs quite a few tricks.  He can roll over and will lay on his back and show you his belly if you ask him to.    He is getting really good at catching the frisbee too.   He looks as though he is just about done growing.  He weighs almost 90 pounds and is in perfect shape. 

He loves to be the center of attention.  You cannot do much without him.  Even now, he is sitting beside me at my desk with his head in my lap!  He is a very loving dog and a better friend than any human could ever be.
