Chapter 10
Wolverine, Chewbacca and Worf appeared in a wooded clearing
surrounded by trees taller than any Wolverine or Worf had seen. Q
appeared near them shortly there after, and immediately realized that that
was not a good idea.
Wolverine grabbed him by the neck. "All right bub, you got
exactly two seconds to tell me why you dropped us on that ship, and
where I am, before I pop a claw through your head.
"Oh please." Q sneered. He vanished from Wolverine's grasp
and appeared right in front of them. Much to their frustration,
Wolverine, Worf and Chewie found themselves rendered immobile.
"Right then." Q said. "You three are the best warriors of
your prospective groups. You are currently on the Forest Moon of
Endor. Neither the Enterprise or any other ships will be able to
find you. Except the ships that you don't want to find you. Your
only way off this planet is to find the hidden base, get the
information from their computer that you need to solve this whole
mess, and steal a ship. That about cover it? Oh, Worf, your
universal translator will now understand Wookie. Bye." Q vanished,
leaving the trio mobile, and alone.
Wolverine looked distrustfully at one Q had called Worf. He was
wearing the same uniform as the men that had shot at them.
Likewise, Worf narrowed his eyes at Wolverine. This was one of the
intruders that had appeared on the Enterprise.
Chewbacca noted the looks of distrust and sighed. It was obvious to
him that before they could defeat the empire, they would have to defeat
their own distrust.
"Why'd your guys fire at us?" Wolverine growled. "We didn't make
any hostile moves."
"It was not our intention to start anything." Worf said, in a voice
equally rough. "Q manipulated the minds of our Security Officers to start
the fight."
Wolverine relaxed slightly. "That'll do for now. So now what?" he
asked, sniffing the air.
"It appears you two know this Q person?" Chewie asked. Wolverine
looked at him uncomprehendingly but Worf's universal
translator allowed him to understand.
"I do. And he is not to trusted. He has often thrust the
Enterprise into dangerous situations like this. However," he added
reluctantly. "If he says there is a way out, then there probably
is."
"Heads up guys!" Wolverine shouted suddenly. "We've got
company!"
Five Stormtroopers had exited the forest. As soon as they had
spotted the intruders they trained their blaster rifles on them.
Chewie roared and unslung his Bowcaster.
"Can I assume from his reaction that these're the bad guys?"
Wolverine asked.
"Yes." Worf said. Worf looked at him in concern. "You're not
armed." He drew his phaser.
Wolverine clenched his fists and popped his claws. "Wrong."
Worf grinned. "It is a good day for battle."
"Any day's a good day for battle."
     "Let's rock!" Chewie added.
Wolverine leapt at the closest Stormtrooper and slashed at
him. His claws, though strong, could not penetrate the man's
armor. The trooper shot him in the stomach, doubling him over.
Much to the trooper's surprise, Wolverine quickly recovered
and ripped the trooper's helmet off.
     "Where's yer base?" Wolverine snarled.
"Surrender in the name of the Empire!" The man retorted.
"Wrong answer bub." Wolverine's claws punched easily through
the trooper's head.
Worf fired at one of the troopers only to discover to his
delight that stun had no effect on the armor. He grinned fiercely
and increased the setting to max. The trooper vaporized.
"I think I'm gonna like these guys." Chewie thought. His
rapid firing of his bowcaster made short work of the rest of the
troopers.
"Well, that was fun." Wolverine said smugly.
"You fight well." Worf commended him.
"Thanks." Wolverine grabbed up two of the trooper's blasters.
"You to."
     Chewie growled at him.
"What'd he say?" Wolverine asked Worf.
"He wishes to know what kind of armor you have that can
withstand blaster fire."
"No armor Bub. Just a real handy Mutant healing factor. Now
let's go find that base."

Cybo found himself in a corridor of an unfamiliar ship.
*Identify ship.* he mentally commanded the computer.
SHIP DOES NOT CORRESPOND TO ANY KNOWN SPECIES.
"Terrific." He set off down the corridor. *Scan for Empress
Lilandra and a computer interface.*
     SCANNING.
Even as the shades/computer was scanning, it was recording
anything and everything it could about the ship and it's
inhabitants. He passed many of the denizens of the ship, but due
to his cloaking device, he went unnoticed.
COMPUTER INTERFACE JUST AROUND THE CORNER.
Cybo smiled. It was a wonderful thing this computer. He
turned the corner and examined the interface allowing the computer
to analyze it. A tendril shot out of his shades and plugged into
the computer.
     DOWNLOAD IN PROGRESS.
Nothing could stop his computer from what it wanted.
Information. No matter what kind of encryption codes were used,
they fell like dominoes to it.
DOWNLOAD 20% COMPLETE. EMPRESS LILANDRA: TWO DECKS DOWN, TWENTY

Now all he had to do was wait. Once the download was complete, he
would get the Empress, and get out of here.
WARNING, TELEPATHIC SCANS DETECTED. DOWNLOAD 40%

*Initiate telepathic shielding.* he thought. Why wasn't
anything ever easy?
TELEPATHIC SHIELDING INITIATED. DOWNLOAD 60% COMPLETE.
*Did they detect you stealing their files?*
     AFFIRMATIVE. WARNING, PRESENCE DETECTED BEFORE
SHIELDING WAS IN PLACE. ABORT DOWNLOAD?
     *No.*
WARNING, INTERNAL SECURITY IS HEADED IN THIS DIRECTION.
DOWNLOAD 70% COMPLETE.
"No sense hiding if they know I'm here." he decided. *Drop
cloak.*
     CLOAKING DEVICE DISENGAGED. DOWNLOAD COMPLETE.
     *Contact the ship.*
     SHIP CONTACTED. E.T.A. 2 MINUTES.
"Halt!" a harsh voice called. He turned and saw several of
the aliens on whose ship he was on running towards him. The
computer displayed the vital information on the left lens of his shades.
     SPECIES: ROMULAN. MILITARISTIC AGGRESSIVE HUMANOID
SPECIES. WEAPON TYPE: ENERGY DISRUPTER. SHIELDS
RECLIBRATED.
Cybo grabbed his pistol from it's place of concealment at on
his thigh and opened fire on the Romulans.
He stunned several of the guards before they could react.
When they opened fire on him their weapons fire glanced harmlessly
off his armor. "Disengage PSI interface." he ordered the computer.
	PSI INTERFACE DEACTIVATED
Finally, two minutes later he was beamed onto his ship, the
Galactic.
"Computer," he said. "Can you lock onto Empress Lilandra for
teleport?"
NEGATIVE. HEAVY SHIELDING AND TELEPATHIC INTERFERENCE.
"Damnit. Set course for Endor. Maximum speed."
The Romulan ship fired on him as The Galactic sped off into
space, but their weapon's did no damage.
