BACKGROUND

The College enjoys the privilege of being the only State College in the Province of Aurora.

It was officially established on December 30, 1993 pursuant to Republic Act No. 7664. Aurora's son, Senator Edgardo J. Angara and the late Congressman Benedicto G. Miran sponsored the bills that eventually became a law which brings much hope for a brighter future to the people of the Province. The College opened its first year of classes on June 6, 1994 with an initial enrollment of 300 students.

Although relatively young, the College has undertaken solid steps so that it can strongly pursue its program along its trilogy of functions - instruction, research and extension.

The College continuously endeavors to maximize the utilization of the available resources in order to become a center of academic excellence and a bastion of technology in the Province. (Back to top)

Situated in three main campuses, Aurora State College of Technology envisions to be the center for academic excellence and seat of bold experiments and technological breakthroughs in the region through its high caliber, competent, and committed faculty and personnel and through its excellent facilities and equipment to be the enabler of the people and communities of Aurora and catalyst for their growth and development. MISSION

Guided by its philosophy, the College commits itself:

1. To provide the people of  Aurora and the larger community excellent and relevant technical and professional training in the sciences, arts, teacher education, agriculture, forestry, fishery, engineering and technology as well as the needed short tems courses;

2. To promote research, advance studies and academic leadership in the stated areas of specialization; and,

3. To extend its services to increasing number of students and other clienteles in Aurora and its neighboring provinces.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

With the growing complexity of ASCOT operations, the Board of Trustees has approved several designations such as Director for Planning, Directors for Department of Agriculture & Aquatic Resources, Depratment of General Education, Department of Engineering and Technology, Department of Forestry and Environmental Science  and Director for Auxilliary Services. This resulted to more responsive and functioning mechanism for the governance of the College as a whole system. (Back to top)
