After the graduating from the Conservatoire de musique du Québec, Isabelle Aubin studied with Nathalie Pépin at Montreal University, where she completed her Master’s Degree in piano performance while studying vocal accompaniment with Metropolitan Opera pianist Denise Massé. Earning scholarships from the Government of Québec, Aubin perfected her art of vocal accompaniment in Salzburg and Graz, Austria, as well as Siena, Italy. As a result of her superb performances and high standards, she has been invited to work as an accompanist in both Austria and Italy. Madame Aubin expanded her opera experience working with the opera company Société d’arts lyriques du Royaume. She also coaches singers and actors in French, German, Italian, and English in preparation for opera, theatre, and recital performances. Madame Aubin has served as accompanist at the Collège d’Alma in Québec, and was professor of piano and literature for ten years at L’École de musique de Chicoutimi. Madame Aubin has recorded several live broadcasts for Radio Canada and has performed frequently in Canada, Italy, Austria, and the United States. The 2000 – 2001 season marks Aubin’s US solo debut with the Genesee Symphony Orchestra. Madame Aubin was the founding coach and accompanist with the Rochester Opera Factory for whom she prepared and performed a variety of performances, from recitals - to concert performances of opera - to her acclaimed production of Die Fledermaus. In August, Miss Aubin returned as coach and pianist in Quebec, Canada for productions of Le Nozze di Figaro, Cosi fan tutte, and L’Elisir d’amore. Besides her busy schedule as an opera coach, this past season Madame Aubin continued her solo career performing an "All Beethoven Program," with the Concerto for Violin, Violoncello, Piano, Op. 56, as well as the, Fantasia for piano, chorus, and orchestra, Op. 80. She also performed with the Austin Symphony Orchestra the Carnival of the Animals, of Saint-Saens. Isabelle Aubin is currently on staff at Nazareth College and The Singers Workshop in Rochester, New York. Madame Aubin was recently appointed as pianist and vocal coach to the Genesee Valley Orchestra and Chorus, the largest orchestra and chorus in the upstate New York region. Madame Aubin is also co-founder and pianist/vocal coach for the Festival di Musica da Camera, in Torre de’ Passeri, Italy. This is an international music festival for professionals and advanced music students embarking on a professional career in music performance. It includes an opera atelier, chamber music program, orchestral program, piano accompaniment program, conducting program, choral program, as well as an international Italian language class directed by international Italian Linguist, Antonio Sorella, of Pescara University.
