Roman Catholicism & The Scriptures - Main Menu

Introduction:  The purpose of this web site is to contrast the differences between the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and the Scriptures. On each page, you will find actual quotations from Roman Catholic writings. Below the quotations are scriptures which refute these teachings. Often, the comments at the bottom of the page will clarify the differences.

This section deals with authority. Who is the final authority in matters of faith and doctrine? What authority has God established for man to follow? What authority did Jesus follow and what authority did he teach his disciples to follow?

This section deals with the contrast between the salvation taught in the scriptures and the salvation taught by the Catholic Church.

This section deals with Salvation. Eternal Salvation is a very serious matter. Our salvation depends on following God's plan. No other plan will work. We must find God's Salvation Plan.

This section deals with: authority of the church, baptism, confession, penance, extreme unction, indulgences, Marian apparitions, Mary worship, origin of the church, popes, priests, saints, purgatory, tradition, and transubstantiation.

This site is not intended to offend Roman Catholics. The disputes within are mainly comparisons between Catholic writings and scripture.

My appreciation to Jimmy James for his support and research in this effort.

The Reference Page shows exactly where the Roman Catholic writings were found.
