Comments: I was looking for a telephone number for the General Mills box top offer and noticed tht your school raised $95.00 because of this. Six months ago I moved to Oklahoma from Wisconsin. At the elementary school that my children were enrolled in Wisconsin, we also participated in the General Mills Box Top rebate program. Available at http://www.thekids.com, the site features original translations, retellings, and reworkings of traditional stories from around the world. These traditional rhymes, fables, folk and fairy tales, and hero stories are presented with lavish illustrations, background information, and extensive bibliographies. There are also activity pages, interactive games, and other activities just for fun.
The teachers and librarians to whom I have shown the site have all been very enthusiastic (I've written and illustrated three picture books, all published by Crown, and have been showing off thekids.com on school visits).
