I´d like to thank you, for having this page posted on the web, thanks to her I now know that I suffer from depression(I Think).
I didn´t know this was a disease, and so I kind of wander around, caring about nothing, having no friends, for a lot of years.
I still don´t know what I´m going to do, mostly because I don´t really trust anyone and I´m afraid to go to a doctor and he starts laughing at my face like many others did already. I´m know on a third year of a social Investigation course, and I only dis
overed this page because I decided to do some research on the Internet under "Sociology", This disease as you and I Call it, isn´t very known in Portugal!
Maybe now, I´m ready to start encouraging my self to go see a doctor, and speak with him about my problems.

Howdy!! I really enjoyed your comments and hope your strugle with depressions is a little easier now. I have had mild to "i think" severe depression on and off for twenty years----most of that time depression free. I am going to a cognitive therapist now
as the medication dosent work for me. The therapy really seems to work, though slow. Anyway, thank you for your web page it really helps.

Personally the only thing that got me thinking about finding out if I was depressed was ectasy. I firmly beieve that this should be a prescription drug. They say that once u can admit u've got a problem the battles half won.
It was quite wierd how the effects of the drug came on at the exact moment I was looking at your site and the "symptoms of depression" and everything suddenly seemed solvable, or at least bearable.
I quit my job a cple of months ago due to burnout making me unreliable, if I had been taking ectasy( at weekends) I think I would have been able to live a more productive life. I now have an uphill struggle to get another job with the reference from the l
st one :( . Oh well...
...If u found this site then u have probably already admitted the possibility to yourself that u r ill.
When my doctor suggested my back/neck-pain and sore throat were a symptom of depression and he could give me some pills I refused and he didn't press the matter. Surely a symptom of being depressed is not admiting u r depressed. A very tricky situation. T
