We are a group of Christians who by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ have a special aptitude and deep commitment to work among children guiding them to a personal relationship with God.

It is prayer movement to win children over to Jesus and help them to grow in holiness.

“Your Father in heaven does not want  any one of these little ones to be lost” (Mt.18:14) Activities of Christeen WE WANT CHILDREN TO: Support for one another. Enjoy spirituality. So that they experience and believe in Jesus with firm convictions brought by their own desire. We also want to make elders aware of the importance of giving children the right environment to experience God.

WE GIVE JESUS BY:

• Conducting seminars in parishes, schools and orphanages.

• Conducting small prayer fellowship for teenagers to foster friendship with     Jesus   and one another.

• Give individual help and attention as and when needed.

• Mobilizing a monthly magazine-Christeen. Christian literature which talks about how to live as good Christians

• Prayer for children facing tests in schools and colleges.

• Train elder people to help children.

• Form Christeen soldiers. To pray for those facing poverty, trials, oppression and for those who have not yet received the message of Christ.

Conception and Growth

Ms. Marykutty P.V who experienced Jesus in a personal way through the Charismatic Renewal founded this movement in the year 1980. Mr. Biju Thomas, Mr. Santhosh T, Mr. Thomas Kurian and Mr. Benny Joseph are the rest of the Christeen core team. At present there are more than 50 young full-timers active in the Christeen ministry besides the priest and sisters helping us. Christeen has covered the entire State of Kerala and 14 other states in India through its programme network. We give programmes to more than 200,000 students every year.

LOOKING AHEAD

We intend to :

• Conduct residential Bible courses and Christeen formation programmes (few weeks to months) for teenagers
• Bring out a Children's Bible
• Publish more books to help teenagers in their spiritual growth
• Purchase a video projector, sound and music system for Children's programmes
• Train full-timers to work in other states of our country
• Equip our office...

These are some of our immediate needs.

Christeen has been functioning without any regular income or a permanent fund. It has run into heavy debts inspite of the generosity of a few kind-hearted well-wishers. Would you also kindly remember us some times while setting apart your tithe? We shall certainly pray for you and your family in our regular intercessory prayer meetings. The main source of our strength is the intercession offered by thousands of Children. They will pray for you too
