PROVING THE BIBLE FALSE (JEWISH VERSION)

What is the difference between B.C and B.C.E? Well, B.C. is the Christian abbreviation for “Before Christ” , and A.D. ( Latin abbreviation for “ Anno Domini” meaning Year of our Lord) better remembered by some as After Death, referring to Jesus, but is conflicting because it is saying that there are no years in between that he lived then. On the nonreligious spectrum, B.C.E. stands for Before Common Era ( before common dating methods) and C.E. for Common Era. Also, there is no year 0 in the timetable.

How old is the universe? The bible says one thing, the scientists say another. This is a big thing, for if the bible is proven false on the time God created the universe, then the whole bible is false. But all we are going to do is look at the facts of both sides for ourselves. In Genesis 1:5 "And God called the light day, and the darkness he called night. And the evening and the morning were the first day." And in this shows that a day in biblical terms is when it turns from day to night and returning to day to start again. Thus each day is each time the light shown (24 hour clock), not a day equaling 7,000 years or more like some Judaists want to say. Also the bible states in Genesis 8:22 "While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease."this shows that they knew the turning of the seasons in a year. Every harvest would be in a new seasonal year. So it is clear that a day cannot be 7,000 years or more in the bible. Besides if it were written for man it would be by man’s meaning. Now here is where the math comes in. This list is stated in years of the father's years of age when he had the next offspring or that he died (Chronological order of family tree):

ALL CREATION MADE................. 7,058 Years Ago at the most

Point: If the universe was created 7,058 years ago, then how do you explain dinosaurs , Ice Age, carbon dating, even evidence in nature such as erosion and sediment layers or natural timed growth in nature? But I will even put it easier than that. How can a Sun a million light years away, send light here? Judaists people want to say God created light in transit. Okay, if that is a given, then it would be a direct light from the source to us. Therefore, it would be impossible to see any changes in size, shape, color, etc, for another million or so years. Yet we do see these occurrences in such things as in the Hubble telescope. Can you come up with a few other things that prove the Earth and /or Universe to be older than 7,058 years? There are other proofs in nature as well. The petrified forest in Yellowstone National Park. Where layers upon layers of 27 forests were buried on top one another each time a local volcano erupted (some trees in each forest layer being over 1000 years old). Specimen Ridge is stated to have over 50 layers of such forests. Scientists have shown that many of these trees were not relocated or transplanted. Also the calculated steady growth rate of the coral reef, which shows over 100,000 years of growth. And the Green River formation, where the sediment layers that have shown a timeline of over 12,000 years. There is much more evidence than this and even more being found still today. Can you think of or find any other evidences in nature?

FULL VERSES:

Genesis 1: 1 - 5

God states in these verses that he separated the light from dark and called the light day and the dark night, and that the evening and morning were the next day. Thus a day means when light showed. Point: Thus the 24 hour clock due to the rotation of the Earth, same one we use today to define what a day is. Bear with me, we are just showing that God’s definition of a day is the same as ours is today not a million years like some say. Some Judaists people say that the meaning of “day” (“yom” - Hebrew) can also mean a longer period of time, such as years? This does not hold a case here since a year doesn’t have an “evening and morning” in it. Also scientists have said if the Earth rotated that slow for millions of years as a day, life would not exist.

Genesis 1: 6 - 10

God calls firmament Heaven (please look up firmament in the dictionary if you don’t know the meaning of this word already). Point: So the sky and/or space is really Heaven? If not why did he not name it something else?

Genesis 1: 14 - 18

God acknowledges he divided day from night and seasons and years, and the placement of stars in Heaven. Point: This shows that the acknowledging of what a day is and the change of seasons showed years. Same as we view the time of a year today of course, a year is a full cycle of seasons. And once again stating Heaven as the sky or space and a day is not a year in the bible.

Genesis 1: 21 - 25

God made EVERY living animal each after their own kind. Point: This says that evolution is not possible. For God made all animals in the first week of existence, each after their own kind.

Genesis 1: 26 - 27

God states that man was made from our image and our likeness. Point: Who is our? Meaning more than one God? This could also mean that he is referencing himself the Father, Son, and Holy ghost so this won’t hold. Though if they are capable of thinking separately as Jesus did, this might make more than one God in meaning.

Genesis 1: 31

God had finished his work on the 6th day. Point: Why do Judaists try to say that God took many years to make everything, even millions of years ? ( to defend the fact that the Earth is actually old but the bible can make it probable). Especially when the bible itself defines the day the same as we do today. First they say that God is powerful enough and can do anything and made everything in just 6 days, the they claim the reverse? This is like when the Judaists found out the world wasn’t really flat.

Genesis 2: 2

And on the 7th day after God’s work he rested. Point: Rested? Why does a God need rest? But this can be perceived as refraining from work also, so it holds no water.

Genesis 2: 7

God created man from dust of the ground. Point: Why do Judaists say it is ridiculous to think man came from dirt in the Big Bang Theory, yet the bible also says man came from dirt?

Genesis 2: 11 - 12

God has created gold, and says it is good. Point: Of what value was gold at that time to Adam and Eve?

Genesis 2: 17

God makes the tree of knowledge of good and evil and says if anyone eats of it they will surely die. Point: Later we see that they don’t die from the fruit in Genesis 3: 6 - 8.

Genesis 2: 21 - 24

God makes Eve from the rib of Adam. Point: Don’t get confused on this one. I know what you are thinking. People like to argue that man has one less rib than woman. It is not so. Anyone in Anatomy 101 knows that. But on the other hand, why should every man have one less rib? If God did take a rib out of Adam, it doesn’t take away from Adam’s genetic coding to reproduce offspring with the full amount of ribs does it? Of course, this doesn’t add proof to either side, only to state an obvious fact that if a person gets into an accident and loses a rib their kids won’t be born without a rib later. Here comes the clincher, this would be cloning. And mating with your clone isn’t an abomination?

Genesis 3: 1 - 3

The serpent, as one of the beasts God made, asked Eve why she doesn’t eat of all the trees of the garden and Eve states if they eat of the tree of knowledge they will die. Point: So serpents talked back in those days? And nowhere does it state it was the devil disguised as a serpent. And surely, Eve didn’t think it odd that a serpent was talking to her?

Genesis 3: 4 - 5

The serpent tells Eve that if she eats of the tree she will not die and will instead know good from evil and be as gods. Point: The serpent is telling the truth? Remember this for later because Adam and Eve did not die from eating the fruit.

Genesis 3: 6 - 8

Adam and Eve both end up eating from the tree and end up wearing fig leaves because they were ashamed and knew good from evil. Point: Adam and Eve did not die and did learn good and evil from eating of the tree. They did not die from eating the fruit like God said they would. So God lies to people?

Genesis 3: 9 - 13

God comes to the garden and doesn’t know where Adam is for he was hiding. Then they state why they are wearing fig leaves and that the serpent told them to eat from the tree. Point: I thought that God was all seeing and all knowing? Yet he can’t even find a person hiding in a garden or know already about

the serpent telling them to eat the fruit from the tree?

Genesis 3: 14

God got mad at the serpent and cursed him over all the other animals and made him to crawl on his belly and eat dirt for all of his life. Point: God punished the serpent for telling the truth (Gen. 3: 4 - 5)? Also if this was Satan, then he is an animal?

Genesis 3: 22

In this verse God starts saying that man has become as one of us, knowing good and evil. And if he eats from the tree of life he will live forever. Point: Who is this us? More than one God again? And is this super fruit from these trees that can make a person immortal? So now man is as smart as a God? And this also shows that Adam and Eve were never immortal, being able to live forever in the garden, since God wants to keep them from the tree of life for just this reason. So the argument that Adam and Eve did die later for eating the fruit due to their loss of immortality from God is unfounded. Besides if they could live forever in the first place then they were gods not man.

Genesis 3: 24

To protect the tree of life from man getting to it God had Chirubims and a flaming sword set there that turned every way. Point: Flying monsters and a flaming sword that swings every way to defend a tree? Is this mythology?

Genesis 4: 1 - 5

Abel gives an offering to God of a dead sheep. Cain gives an offering of fruit to God and he does not respect Cain for it. Point: God seems to like dead animals better than fruit. And this sounds like a peaceful God? Also he has no respect for Cain’s effort to try to please him. An ungrateful God?

Genesis 4: 16 - 17

Cain went out to the land of Nod and took a wife. Point: Where did this land of people come from if Cain and Abel were the only offspring of Adam and Eve at the time? Adam only had daughters after Seth, and this event was before Seth.

Genesis 6: 1 - 4

God has sons that take the daughters of men. And all the daughters they wish for wives. These angels mated with human females to create Giants (Titans) (also refer to the Book of Enoch to these giants being 450 feet tall). Point: By today’s standards that might be considered abduction and rape. Also it shows that God promotes having more than one wife when it comes to his sons. This is bigotry in America. And being as these are God’s sons, wouldn’t they also be considered gods or demigods? Aren’t these angels really gods themselves, just not as powerful as the main god, like Zeus to the other gods?

Genesis 6: 9 - 18

God tells Noah to build an ark with the measurements of length 300 cubits (500 feet), width 50 cubits (83 feet), and the height of three stories, 30 cubits total (50 feet total). Note: A cubit equals 18 to 20 inches. (In comparison the Titanic was 883 feet long, 92 feet wide, and 104 feet high. A football field in America is 300 feet long and 160.5 feet wide.) Point: If dinosaurs really existed at that time then they would have never been able to fit in the ark at their size and heights that measured well over 50 feet with widths and lengths that that would never have enough room. After all the Earth was only 1,556 years old at the time ( age of family tree from Adam to Noah‘s age at time of flood). Surely there were still dinosaurs alive then. and God did say to bring 2 of all kinds of animals. And even without dinosaurs, the regular animals of all types and species of the whole world would not fit in the ark themselves, back then there would have been all the species still alive ( hundreds of millions of species), and then add food for 150 days for all, add all species of trees and plants that Noah replanted after the flood, doesn’t it seem the more you add the more impossible it becomes? Now add the funny part. As soon as they landed (if not before on the ark) half of the species would have eaten the other half right away as food defeating the main purpose in the first place. Let’s go back to when scientists said there were hundreds of thousand of species. If this is so, this is a conflict since less than 100 million species (by two) couldn’t even fit on the ark if they were the size of one cubic inch...do the math....the ark was 2,075,000 cubic feet (3,585,600,000 inches), 100 million species (by two) the size of one cubic inch is 5,400,000,000 inches, almost twice the size of the ark.

Genesis 7: 20

The water of the flood rose 15 cubits (25 feet) higher than the mountains. Point: Why is it scientists today say if all the ice caps melted there would still be mountain tops showing? Where did God send the water after the flood? Why do all the scientists say if such a flood happened there would be overwhelming evidence, yet there is nothing?

Genesis 7: 24 - 8: 22

The flood lasted 150 days (5 months) and then Noah sent a dove out and it returned with a olive leaf , the waters abated and land was now uncovered of water. Point: After 5 months under water all the trees and plants would have died, so where did the olive leaf come from? And how are the plant eating animals to survive with no plants and the length of time to grow new ones?

Genesis 9: 13 - 17

And God then set a bow in the cloud as a sign that he will never create a flood to destroy all flesh again. Point: A rainbow was never seen before this time? Was the natural occurrence with the light spectrum due to the sunlight on mist not working before then? Must have been strange that reflection and refraction were not possible back then. Due to things not being able to reflect light means everything would look black, void of any color.

Genesis 9: 20 - 21

Noah grew a vineyard and made wine and got drunk and was passed out naked in his tent. Point: Preachers like to say that in biblical days the followers of God did not get drunk and that the wine was actually grape juice.

Genesis 9: 22 - 25

When Noah found out Ham saw him naked, he cursed Canaan (Ham’s son) to be a servant among his brothers. Point: Why? Isn’t it Noah’s fault he was seen naked?

Genesis 11: 1 - 9

At this time man was of one language. Man wanted to build a tower to reach unto Heaven and make a name for themselves. God saw the tower they made and said that since they all speak the same language they are capable to organize and do more things and learn too much. Point: God, in fearing for some reason that man will learn too much decides to spread the people to other countries of Earth and give them different languages. God wants to keep us under control by being uneducated?

Genesis 12: 9 - 20

Abram goes to Egypt with his wife and pleads her to say she is his sister so he won’t get killed if someone wants to take her away from him. Pharaoh wants to marry Abram’s wife thinking it is his sister and gives him many asses, sheep, oxen, camels, and servants. The pharaoh gets a plague from God because of this. The pharaoh finds out after having her as a wife, that she was married to Abram. He then sends them away with all he gave them. Point: Seems that Abram cared more for his life than his wife. And the pharaoh ended up getting plagued by God because of Abram’s lie? And when the pharaoh found out, he didn’t kill Abram. Instead sent him off with his wife all that he had given him. Something is morally wrong with this situation. After all, what if a man and his wife were about to walk through the park, in these times, and the husband asked her if she could let a rapist have his way with her, if they see one at night, to save his life? You won’t see too many guys saying that these days.

Genesis 16: 1 - 16

Abram’s wife could not bear children so she gave him her handmaid to bear children. Her handmaid despised the wife for making her get pregnant. Abram then tells his wife to do what she wants with the handmaid. The wife disciplines the handmaid harshly. The handmaid then runs away. An angel sent from the Lord then tells her to go back and bear the child for Abram. Point: Again where are the morals here? So far I see slavery and forced sex. I thought God was against such things? Instead he agrees to it?

Genesis 17: 5

God says that Abram’s name will now be Abraham. Point: Why did God change his name when a name is just a name and people are based on what they do, not what their name is?

Genesis 17: 9 - 27

God tells Abraham that he requests that the all family members be circumcised as a token to God. Point: God creates foreskin on man. Then wants it cut off? And what does he want the foreskins for anyway? What does it really symbolize even, a penis that is easier to clean?

Genesis: 18: 20 - 33

Abraham barters on how many righteous people there needs to be in order not to destroy the city of Sodom and Gomorrah. Point: A person is able to barter with God on what he says to do?

Genesis 19: 30 - 38

Since Lot had no wife anymore, his two daughters decided to get him drunk to have sex with him to bear children and carry on his bloodline. Point: God never said anything against them doing this and they were with his faith? Incest is okay then?

Genesis 20: 1 - 18

In these verses Abraham ( known before as Abram) once again claims his wife is his sister to others ( for fear of his own life) and another takes her as a wife again. Then God comes to the king that was now wed to her and threatens him to return the wife back to Abraham. The king asks Abraham why he didn’t tell him before this was so. Then once again Abraham receives gifts of oxen, sheep, and servants. This time from the king to make up for the mistake of wedding his wife. Then God puts a curse on the king closing all the wombs of that house. Point: This is too weird. Is this starting to look like a con they pull on people? Why doesn’t God say he will protect him if any man tries to take Abraham’s wife? Instead they always benefit from lies they say by getting sheep, asses, and servants because the man marrying his wife is framed then threatened by God? Didn’t anyone learn a lesson from the first time?

Genesis 22: 1 - 12

God tells Abraham to sacrifice his son to him, then when he is about to God sends an angel to stop him. And that he had passed a test God gave him. Point: God plays mind games and pranks to test people and lied by saying he wanted Abraham to sacrifice his son?

Genesis 22: 8

Abraham’s son asks where the lamb to be sacrificed is ( for the son was the sacrifice) and Abraham lied to him and said God will supply one. Point: Abraham, a follower of God, lies to his own son? Where are the morals here?

Genesis 30: 1 - 7

Jacob’s wife could not conceive so she gave him her handmaiden to conceive a child for him although Jacob never took the maiden as a second wife. Point: Now we are being showed that Jacob has sex to another woman besides his wife, who he was not also married to? And that God again does not disagree with this from his followers?

Genesis 32: 28

God changes Jacob’s name to Israel. Point: Again, why did God change his name when a name is just a name and people are based on what they do, not what their name is?

God turns Moses rod into a serpent. Point: Why a serpent, when God despises serpents from the incident in the Garden of Eden?

Exodus 7: 10 - 12

Moses turns his rod into a serpent, then the Pharaoh does the same with their rods. Point: If turning a rod into a serpent is supposed to be such a divine miracle, how did the Pharaoh do it then?

Exodus 16: 04

God rains bread from heaven. Point: Let me get this bread from heaven, which would be space to us. Wouldn’t it burn up on entry to Earth’s atmosphere? Even if it didn’t wouldn’t the fall from that high to the ground smash it to nothing when it hit? Why doesn’t God just make it appear?

Exodus 19: 12 - 13

God says nobody can go up the mount until the trumpet calls or the will die , even if they touch the mount’s border. They will be stoned or shot. Point: Just think if today’s police were like that?

God states keeping the Sabbath day holy, and verifies once again that God made the Heaven and the Earth in 6 days and to keep the 7th day of rest holy. Point: That once again it says God made the universe in 6 days. For those that argue that God’s day is equal to 7,000 or so years.

Exodus 20: 13

God says not to kill in the Ten Commandments. Point: This rule seems to have exceptions in the bible if you are a Judaist. An example being Moses.

God says not to steal in the Ten Commandments. Point: Wasn’t it considered stealing what Abram did?

Exodus 21: 2

God says if any a person buys a Hebrew he as a servant he must let him go free after six years. Point: It seems God still believes in slavery, the same reason he freed his people out of Egypt?

God says if an ox kills a man or woman and has pushed a person in the past, the ox and it’s owner will be killed. Point: Is this justified?

God says that no person will work on the Sabbath day (Sunday), or they will be killed. Point: So what about workers in hospitals taking care of terminally ill patients?

Exodus 32: 26 - 28

Moses sees the sinful things the people have done while he was in the mountain and tells then to choose sides. Those that chose other than God were soon killed. Three thousand people were killed. Point: So lead them out of Egypt to later kill them? Didn’t God see this coming? Surely, they would have rather stayed as slaves than be killed later.

Exodus 32: 33

God says that any who have sinned will be blotted out of my book. Point: God has a book? Kind of like a guest book for Heaven?

Exodus 35: 2

God says that no person will work on the Sabbath day (Sunday), or they will be killed. Point: Once again stating death if the Sabbath day is not observed.

Exodus 36: 1 - 38

Requirement of the Ephod and the Breastplate. Point: Pretty expensive and luxurious makings.

Leviticus 20: 9

If a person curse their father or mother you will be put to death. Point: Is this justified?

Leviticus 20: 10

If a man commit adultery, that person and the adulteress will be killed. Point: Is this justified? Why didn’t it apply to Jacob or Abram?

Leviticus 23: 22

God says that a person cannot pick their crop clean, and must leave the rest for the poor and strangers. Point: Why don’t they do this today? Surely there are Judaist farmers in the business today.

A woman’s son cursed God and was stoned. Point: Is this justified for a child?

Numbers 21: 6 - 9

God made a fiery serpent to bite the people, then told Moses to make a make a brass serpent for them to look on and be cured of the bites. Point: Why another dramatic show? Why does he use serpents again when he despises them? And isn’t a brass serpent symbolic of an idol?

Once again God has the strength of an unicorn. Point: Mythology?

Numbers 31: 1 - 18

God tells Moses to send his army to kill the Medianites. Not only that but to kill all the male children and non virgin women and keep the female children for themselves. Point: This is just another one of many holy wars, killing people across the country that do not have the same beliefs? Also why does God say to kill the male children, and spare the female children to keep for themselves, like cattle? For sex as child wives? Apparently they kept them for a reason the male children could not perform. Also if God is having Moses kill off all his enemies in the name of God why didn’t they kill off all the Egyptians instead of running away? God had the power didn’t he?

Numbers 31: 50

And the men that followed Moses were told to give gold jewelry, that they had from spoils of war, as atonement for their souls to God. Point: You have to buy your way into heaven?

Deuteronomy 7: 1 - 2

God tells them to go into battle and utterly destroy them and show no mercy. Point: Is that God’s battle cry? Destroy all, show no mercy?

Deuteronomy 7: 4

Again God talks about man serving other Gods. Point: Why mention serving other Gods if there aren’t any other Gods, or is there? Remember past references? Also why didn’t he just say idols, or false Gods instead of other Gods?

Deuteronomy 7: 6

God chose the Hebrews to be God’s special people, and above all other peoples. Point: Wasn’t all people from Adam and Eve? So why spread all the peoples around the world and just pick a chosen few to communicate with and favor? Isn’t this discrimination and abandoning other people so they forget God in the generations, since he abandoned them, an d then only to utterly destroy them later with the Hebrew armies?

Deuteronomy 7: 21

God is a mighty God and terrible. Point: Terrible? And makes me ask why does God want people to fear him so much? Would you want to live under fear or love and kindness?

States the beasts man may eat. Point: As a reference the bible states any animal as a beast.

Deuteronomy 14: 8

States that people cannot eat swine because it is unclean. Point: God condemns pork?

Deuteronomy 14: 10

States the same as Leviticus 11: 10 - 13, that people shall not eat animals in the water that don’t have fins or scales. That they are unclean. Point: Many statements are repeated over and over in the bible, like the Ten Commandments and offering requirements, etc. Why? Is this a brainwashing technique?

Deuteronomy 14: 21

States that God’s people shall not eat any animals that are found dead by natural causes. But can sell it to others. Point: It is okay to sell this food to outsiders and strangers, when it is deemed by God to be bad for his own people? And God promotes this?

States that people shall sacrifice only the best sheep with no blemishes. Point: Why is this so important to God? Is this because the priests get a part of the offerings after for food?

Deuteronomy 17: 3 - 7

Anyone who worships another God will be stoned to death. Point: What a horrible way to die. These kind of rules makes freedom of religion impossible and any that oppose die. This is the controversy we live with today, yet if we lived back then and asked to see God or have proof, we would be stoned to death for even asking. And why is this so bad, when Moses himself didn’t believe at first without proof. So why not show proof to us today?

Deuteronomy 18: 18 - 22

States that God will speak through a prophet. And the way to tell a true prophet from a false one is by seeing if his words come to pass. If it comes to pass then that profit spoke to God. If not he was a fraud. Point: Does this really make any sense? So if a person says that God commands you to paint your house green today or you will die, you should wait and see if it comes true to see if he was a false profit? Could a good weatherman could pass the test of a true prophet?

Deuteronomy 20: 1 - 8

It states that when God’s army goes into battle to not be afraid because God be there and fight for them. But in case they should die in battle they should make final preparations. Point: In case they die? Didn’t God say for them not to worry and that he would fight for them?

Deuteronomy 22: 20 - 30

If brothers live together and one brother is married. If the married brother dies, the other brother must take his wife as his own and marry her. Point: Where does love come into play here in a marriage?

Deuteronomy 28: 15 - 68

If any disobey any of God’s commandments theses curses will fall upon them. Point: Why don’t people of today that don’t follow these rules have these curses on them?

Deuteronomy 29: 29

States that the secret things belong to God and the things known belong to man. Point: How does man know what things are meant secrets and what are meant not to be when science keeps finding out secrets to unknowns? Besides if Adam and Eve eat from the tree of knowledge and have the knowledge of God, we would already know such things wouldn’t we?

Deuteronomy 33: 17

God’s horns are like the horns of unicorns, and with them he will push the people to the ends of the earth. Point: Once again a reference to mythical unicorns, and God has horns? (surely a reference to strength instead) and the earth is stated to have ends, like it is flat.

Deuteronomy 34: 4 - 8

God shows Moses the land he has given to the people but bans Moses from going there. Then Moses dies, and the people wept for him 30 days. And why did the people weep 30 days for Moses after he died, when they knew he would be in Heaven?

And when the ram’s horn will sound, all of Joshua’s army will shout a loud shout and the wall of the city they are attacking will fall. Point: The wall will fall simply from them shouting loud?

Joshua 6: 13

The seven priests will blow their trumpets, and the armed men before them, and the ark. Point: Sounds like a parade doesn’t it?

Joshua 6: 21

And they utterly destroyed all in the city, men, woman, children, elderly, and also ass, sheep , and oxen will the blade of a sword. Point: Yes, another one of many great killings for the army of God, but now they are even killing the animals?

Joshua 6: 24

They burned down the whole city, but saved the silver and gold for the house of the Lord. Point: So the house of the Lord gets rich off of others dying? Isn’t there something unholy about “blood money“?

Joshua 7: 19 - 26

Joshua asks Achan to please confess to the Lord that he is hiding something. So he confesses that he had hidden some treasure from the city they battled. It is shown what he had hidden and Joshua and the people of Israel stone him to death, then burn him. Point: So much for confessing your sins? Also isn’t this ironic that they should kill people and take the riches for God, but anyone else that takes some for himself will die? Is God greedy? And why should he care about the gold and silver if he can make it in a blink of an eye?

Joshua 8: 4 - 26

Joshua’s plan to lie in ambush and lure the other armies out of the city of AI and attack and kill the people and burn the city when they were away works and they end up utterly killing all of them. Point: Does the word ambush fit right with an army of God? And again they kill everyone .

Joshua 10: 6 - 11

God slew the Amorites by rocks falling from heaven and hailstone. Point: Why didn’t God just do this to all the other armies, instead of any of his followers dying in battle?

Joshua 10: 20 - 12: 24

All these verses have to do with a great many wars and the conquest of the land by God’s army. Point: Now saying you weren’t religious, wouldn’t you compare these armies to Hitler and ethnic cleansing?

God’s followers caught Adonibezek and cut off his thumbs and great toes and he died. Point: Isn’t this cruel and unusual punishment? Doesn’t all these stories start to remind you of Salem?

Judges 3: 15 - 26

Ehud, a follower of God hid a dagger came up to Eglon, king of Moab, and said, “I have a message from God” then stabbed him then ran off and escaped. Point: God uses terrorists to do his work?

Judges 4: 17 - 22

Sisera fled to the tent of Jael, the wife of Heber and Kenite. And he asked her to hide him. So she covered him up, and went out got a hammer and tent nail and smote the nail into his temples while he slept. Point: Does this sound like a good Judaist woman?

Judges 5: 1 - 31

Deborah sings a song commemorating the death of Sisera. Point: Now they make a song of this? Is this song to be sung to the children also?

Judges 6: 1

Now the children of Israel did sin again against God. Point: Why doesn’t God just kill everyone off, and get it over with?

Judges 9: 23

God sends an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem. Point: God deals in evil spirits? Isn’t that Satan’s job?

Judges 15: 15 - 19

Delilah keeps asking Sampson how he can be subdued and he keeps lying to her. Point: So it’s okay for Sampson to lie?

Judges 16: 17

Some men came and slew another man’s concubine and after her death the man who had her as a concubine cut her into twelve pieces and sent her parts into all the coasts of Israel to show what the evil men have done to his concubine. Point: Is this normal, it sounds pretty morbid to cut a person up in pieces you care about to send them out as proof. And how does it show that he didn’t kill her, since he had enough nerve to cut her up into pieces? And who would actually want to get such a thing in a package?

Judges 21: 10 - 12

God’s army kills the people of Jabeshgilead but only spares the young female virgins. Point : This happens continually throughout the bible so no more references like these will be made anymore.

I Kings 7: 23 - 26

In this chapter they use the measurements of molten metal within bowl shaped melting pot. The measurements of the molten metal in the pot were given as a diameter of 10 cubits and a circumference of 30 cubits. Point: If you do the basic math, you will find out they miscalculated the value of pi and the circumference would actually be over 31 cubits. As a counterpoint, believers like to use verse 26 (the brim thickness) as part of the calculation to save their bible’s miscalculation, but to no avail, since verse 23 was talking clearly about the measurements of the molten metal only, and the brim thickness of the container was brought up later in the chapter and not as a part of calculating the molten metal’s measurements

II Kings 2: 11 - 12

There was sent a chariot of fire, and horses of fire sent for Elijah, and he went up to heaven in a whirlwind. Point: Why does God use fire as a symbol? Isn’t fire a symbol of the Satan? Does this try to invoke fear of power into people? And most of all, doesn’t this sound just like Greek and Roman mythology?

II Kings 2: 21

Elijah casts salt in the water spring in God’s name and heals the waters. Point: How does salt heal the water? For all purposes since it was the power of God, it wouldn’t matter if he through cow dung in the water to heal it.

II Kings 2: 23 - 24

Elijah gets mocked by some children and curses them in the name of God and two she bears came out of the woods and tare the children. Point: Is this justified on the children? He can’t take children teasing him?

Job 1: 6 - 2: 10

God says that Job is one of his most faithful servants and permits Satan to test Job and create much chaos and hardship and pain and agony unto him to test his faith in God. Point: So if you are God’s most faithful servant he will allow Satan to do harm to you as a test? And God said it was okay for Satan to do so as a test? Does this mean God is in league with the Devil?

Job 9: 6

Job states that God shaketh the Earth out of her place and that the pillars thereof tremble.

Point: If the word “earth” pertains to the planet, then this is a myth, and proven false that the planet is not on pillars. If the word pertains to the dirt or ground, then the pillars pertain to buildings. This can be argued one way or the other. But why does he call Earth “she” ? As in “Mother Earth”?

Job 9: 7

Job states that the God commands the Sun, and it riseth not, and sealeth up the stars. Point: We often use the phrase “rising sun” or “setting sun”, but for him to say God was controlling the sun to create this effect would be false. How can God control sunset and sunrise with the sun? Isn’t this clearly stating that the Sun evolves around the Earth? And wouldn’t Job know this fact from God? Why didn’t God correct him seeing as he was a prophet, and also as it was also going in the bible?

Job 11: 9

Zophar states to Job that the measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea. Point: Isn’t this stating that the earth is flat in measurements of length and width? Would they give these measurements for a ball, of length and width?

Job 24: 17

Mentions the shadow of death. Point: Isn’t this a myth? That death is an entity? For to cast a shadow or be a shadow you would need to be an entity.

Job 26: 5

Job states that dead things are formed from under water. Point: How can dead things be formed from under water?

Job 26: 7

Job states that God stretches out the north over the empty space and hangeth the earth upon nothing. Point: Doesn’t this state the earth as flat again? For the north wouldn’t be stretched out into space, it would constantly go around the earth. And the earth hangs, like on an invisible thread, instead of floating in space?

Job 26: 11

Job states that the pillars of heaven are astonished by God’s reproof. Point: Heaven is held upon pillars for support?

Job 30: 29

Job states that he is a brother to dragons, and a companion to owls. Point: Aren’t dragons a myth, last time I checked?

Job 33: 6

Elihu states that he also is formed of the clay as Job was. Point: They think that God actually molded all man like clay figures (as God did with Adam)? Doesn’t he know where babies come from?

Job 36: 27 - 32

Elihu states that only God can understand the rain he makes or the spreadings of the clouds or the noise of his tabernacle. Point: Elihu believes that the noises are from God’s tabernacle and doesn’t understand thunder? And what about weathermen? Don’t they know anything about weather and how to read it and forecast it, and how it forms to a certain degree?

Job 38: 1

God answers Job out of a whirlwind. Point: Why does God talk through things like burning bushes or whirlwinds?

Job 38: 4 - 6

God asks Job where was he when God made the earth and it’s foundations, and where did God set the cornerstone whereof? Point: The earth is made like a construction project? It has a foundations and cornerstones?

Job 38: 8

God asks Job who then shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth? Point: What doors stop the sea?

Job 38: 12 - 13

God asks hast thou commanded the morning since those days, and caused dayspring to know it’s place, that it take hold of the ends of the earth, and shake the wicked out? Point: Once again showing the earth is flat? The earth is a sphere but yet has ends to grab it?

Job 38: 16

God states hast though entered into the springs of the sea, or the search of the depth? Point: The sea has springs to make it’s motions?

Job 39: 9 - 12

States the unicorn and his strength. Point: Isn’t a unicorn myth?

Job 39: 13

States that God put wings and feathers on peacocks and ostriches. Point: Yes, why did God put feathers and wings on birds that cannot fly properly or not at all?

Job 40: 7

God says gird up your loins like a man. Point: Girding up your loins makes you a man?

Job 40: 15 - 24

God talks about a behemoth that eats grass, has a tail of a cedar. Point: Is this describing the Leviathan in the following verse or Dinosaurs? If this describes Dinosaurs like many Judaists say, then it seems it is only one species or a lone beast God made (possibly Brontosaurus). So what of all the other species of Dinosaurs then, and of the 50% that were meat eaters? And what of this creature, since it wouldn’t be able to fit on the ark(since it would exceed the height requirements if it was a Brontosaurus)?

Job 41: 1- 34

God describes the Leviathan he has created and how it is a behemoth, has scales, fire comes out of his mouth, smoke comes out of his nostrils, and he makes the deep boil. Point: This sounds like either a fire breathing dragon or a fire breathing serpent. Isn’t this a mythological monster?

Psalm 9: 13

States the gates of death. Point: The place of death has gates?

Psalm 14: 1

It states that the fool says there is no God, and that they are corrupt, and that there is none that doeth good. Point: Is it a fool that asks for proof? Isn’t by asking for truth that keeps a person from being gullible? And wouldn’t he only be a fool if God shows himself and then he denies he exists?

Psalm 18: 6 - 16

Fire came out of God’s mouth and smoke out of his nostrils. And God rode upon a flying winged Cherub. Point: Does this sound like mythology?

Psalm 22: 21

References the horns of the unicorns once again. Point: Aren’t unicorns myths?

Psalm 29: 6

Reference again to a unicorn. Point: Aren’t unicorns myths?

Psalm 74: 12 - 15

States that God broke the heads of the leviathan and gave him as meat to the people. Point: This shows leviathan was a living monster with many heads, not symbolism of some sort.

Psalm 75: 3

States that the earth has pillars. Point: What pillars of earth? The earth does not sit on pillars.

Psalm 92: 10

Reference again to a unicorn. Point: Aren’t unicorns myths? Why use myths as a reference?

Psalm 104: 25 - 26

Says that ships pass where leviathan is. Point: Isn’t this like the myths of sea serpents and the ships they came across?

Song Of Songs 1: 5 - 6

States that black people were black from the sun. Point: This shows that God didn’t create the colors of the people? What about the changes in color of the others around the world, Chinese, Japanese, Eskimos, Indians, etc? If it isn’t a tan, isn’t this evolution? Our bodies changing due to the environment and heredity? Also, just how many generations does it take to turn a white person black?

Isaiah 11: 12

Once again the bible states the earth having four corners. Point: Is the earth really square or flat as the bible states? Are the pictures from space of earth false? Some think the four corners simply states the four directions (North, South, East, West) but why did such a perfect bible not state directions instead of corners? And still why say corners as a reference point of directions when the earth has no corners?

Isaiah 12: 2

God is called JEHOVAH. Point: Why is God called by so many names when he is one God? What bearing does more than one name really have?

Isaiah 27: 1

States God has a sword and that the leviathan is a piercing serpent, a crooked serpent, and a dragon that lives in the sea. Point: God has a sword? Isn’t leviathan a sea serpent? A mythological creature? See reference Job 40: 15 - 41: 34

Isaiah 34: 7

Another reference to unicorns. Point: Aren’t unicorns myths? Why would a book of God use myths in it at all?

Isaiah 40: 21- 32

States that God sits upon the circle of the Earth and that the heavens are spread out like a curtain. Point: Can this mean the world is a flat circle, a sphere, or a reference to something else pertaining to the Earth? If this means a sphere then it also conflicts with it’s earlier references that the world has ends or corners.

Isaiah 45: 7

States that God is the creator of evil. Point: But doesn’t this mean that the creator of evil , is indeed evil himself?

Ezekiel 1: 1

Ezekiel states the date as being the thirteenth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day. Point: What time reference is this? Wasn’t Adam born many years more years before his time? And what about all the others, Noah, and so on? This is also before Jesus’ birth so that is not a known reference at that time.

Ezekiel 1: 4 - 28

Ezekiel describes the four strange creatures he sees. They had the likeness of man. Everyone had four faces and everyone had four wings. They had feet like calves feet that sparkled like brass. They had hands of a man under the wings on all four sides. They four had the face of a man and the face of a lion on the right side, and they four had a face of an ox on the left side, they four also had the face of an eagle. And the rings they had were full of eyes round about them four. And the Lord sat on his throne in the firmament above them. Point: Why did God make such a hideous creature? Isn’t this an abomination? Isn’t this mythology?

Ezekiel 2: 1 - 6

God keeps calling Ezekiel “son of man”. Point: Since he calls man “son of man“, then when he said “son of God” it meant other Gods?

Ezekiel 2: 7 - 3: 6

God had Ezekiel eat a roll of a book that God gave him so he would speak the words from it to the people. Point: Isn’t this just too funny?

Ezekiel 5: 17

God threatens to send evil beasts. Point: God sends evil beasts? Isn’t this something Satan would do or have control of?

Ezekiel 10: 1 - 22

Once again Ezekiel witnesses the strange creatures called Cherubims. Point: Mythology?

Daniel 1: 4 - 20

States that people skillful in all wisdom and science and astrology were brought to Nebuchadnezzar among them was Daniel. Point: Daniel was also a scientist and astrologer? Daniel was able to tell Nebuchadnezzer’s dream through God. Where did his science come into play? Why didn’t he know the earth evolved around the sun, or the earth was not flat especially if God was teaching him?

Hosea 2: 4

God says he will not have mercy on children of whores. Point: Is this the child’s fault?

Jonah 1: 17 - 2: 10

God had a large fish swallow Jonah and he was in the belly of the fish for 3 days. Point: How can we believe this and ignore Greek and Roman mythology? How was he in the belly and not digested from the stomach acids or smothered to death?

Missing a few things? God clearly was writing many rules and laws of what people should do to govern them beyond the ten commandments. This is clearly politics and religion. If we were truly going by the bible, we would be like old Salem. Thank goodness we don’t. But even though he said these laws to govern the people, he seemed to have left out some good points. 1) What about the earliest age of marriage? With no age limit anyone can marry children and have sex with them. 2) What about drinking ages? 3) What about masturbation? 4) What about sex with inanimate objects? 4) What about birth control? 5) What about natural drugs like marijuana? 6)Can you think of some other things?

What about future predictions? 1) Atomic bombs capable of mass destruction not worth mentioning? Yes, he would be able to mention this in the bible for he can see the future and would know what we would call it. 2) Flying airplanes not worth mentioning? 3) Space travel not worth mentioning? 4) Pollution and it’s affects on earth not worth mentioning? 5) Total destruction of so many animal species not worth mentioning? 6) What about genetic research and cloning? Can you think of some other things?

What about past events? 1) Dinosaurs not worth mentioning? 2) Ice age not worth mentioning? 3) Dividing of the continents not worth mentioning? 4) Other continents across the ocean not worth mentioning? People in the past thought there was nothing beyond the ocean and that the world was flat. Why didn’t God correct them? Can you think of some other things?

Why are things added in religion that aren’t in the bible? Not to try to pick directly on any one religion of the Christian/ Judaism faith, but so many have included man made rules and interpretations. Why so many interpretations of the bible? Didn’t they get it right the first time? Again copyright = money. Also why do different religions of the Christian/Judaism faith perform different ceremonies, and have different rules? Another added idea was Adam and Eve eating the apple from the tree of knowledge. Where does it state it was an apple in the bible? Eating apples does not make you intelligent all of a sudden, we feed apples to animals yet they do not talk to us. And where is the garden of Eden on earth? It has never been found, yet the tree of life still exists there, in a paradise of God that does not exist. We have a close estimate of where it should.

Location of the Garden of Eden. Yes, the bible does state a close proximity of the Garden of Eden. This is shown in Gen 2:11- 14 , this shows that the area is in the Arabian district. Isn’t this mainly a Muslim faith? Maybe Judaism derived itself from Muslim religion. Yet science shows that a society in Africa was the oldest living remnants of man. This culture uses “clicks” in their language to communicate to each other. This communication is similar to some apes. Coincidence? And the main point being : Where is this garden and it flying sword of God protecting it, since we have the technology to find a needle in a hay stack with our satellites and many people have covered the areas for so many years over and over?

What about the mythical creatures? How can Judaism make a mockery of Greek and Roman religion when they have mythical creatures themselves? What about the Chirubims, Dragons, Unicorns, Sea Serpents, Swinging sword of fire, Burning bush, and other beasts and mythical notions. Lets look at a few similarities in the bible to Greek and Roman myths. Lot’s wife turning to a pillar of salt for looking at a city = Medusa turning people to stone by looks. Let’s take a look at some of the similarities:

Who created God? Yes, this is a smart and a legitimate question. Judaists say that the Big Bang Theory is false because of the creation of something from nothing. Yet isn’t this what God is about? Isn’t he something from nothing? If we are to believe that he created everything and that something is from something, then God is from something. How could he be formed from himself? Maybe we are all part of a big cycle. Sort of like the recycling. Everything being formed and reformed over and over. Kind of like reincarnation. But in the process of reanimating from recycled molecules and atoms into something else we would lose our memory. That is very scary to many, for what are we without our memories and learned knowledge? Ever look into a mirror while holding a mirror? You see yourself in an infinite number of images. Yet, can infinity actually exist? If we lose half our memory does it make us less of what we were? Is there some kind of spirit world after death? How was that created? Maybe everything was just Space and it finally changed out of boredom and evolved into what is now. Who knows? Only those that have died know, and they aren’t saying a thing. But by eliminating the things and beliefs that are false we get closer to the truth. This is a common concept of a Sherlock Holmes fiction novel using deductive reasoning.

Is God really so powerful and smart? It seems the religious say that God can do anything. But this is always in defense of an impossible situation. When the tables are turned and the non religious say that God is capable of anything so he could do what makes sense, the religious then state that God works his ways that is beyond man’s knowledge. So this is stating that man knows common sense and that God does not follow common sense for a higher reason? Now let us go into the psychology of God. If God was a man, he would have some serious issues. Let us state a few: 1) God takes an indirect and long term response to some solutions intentionally when he could solve them fast and correct the first time. Ex: He takes his time to set things right taking many years, and uses others to do his job for him in many cases when he is fully capable to do the job himself and some dying for him. 2) God likes killing. Ex: God has the ability to prevent wars but does not do so. 3) God kills innocent women and children. Ex: Since the men controlled the women and children in those days, why kill the women and children? 4) Couldn’t God see what Adam and Eve were going to do ahead of time? 5) Why did he put the tree of knowledge and tree of life where Adam and Eve could get at them if he didn’t want them touched? 6) Why did he lead the people out of Egypt only to kill almost all of them? Didn’t he see this coming? 7) What does a number like 666 have to do with anything except non- sense symbolism? 8) Why didn’t God send Jesus to die for our sins right after Adam and Eve sinned, since he knew what the future would be? 9) Why does all man have to suffer for Adam and Eve? Does this say evil is hereditary? 10) What difference does it make if Jesus died for our sins? If he died for us why do we have to die then? And why did he die for our sins and we still have sins? So what was the purpose then? 11) Why does a God try to speak in riddles sometimes instead of getting to the point? If this is too make it harder to figure out the bible, does it mean there is an IQ requirement or need a translator to go to heaven? 12) If he is so mighty why doesn’t he destroy Satan? 13) This could go on, but we will stop it here. Can you think of a few things?

Man from ape? Who knows. The evidence is sill coming in. We are very similar to apes, and have a 98%- 99% DNA compatibility . Ironically people with Down Syndrome have a difference of one chromosome from average people. Does this make them inhuman also? There are other small differences between man and ape, but can we really rule out evolution as religious people want to do? Why do monkeys have tails yet apes do not? Does intelligence of a species, like man, give them the right to destroy other species? If there are aliens in the universe that are smarter than us, does it give them the right to treat us like road kill also?

Other major issues go on and on against the bible:

How do you explain the diversity of life?

· Pre-Darwin, Western European Church

· Life’s forms are stable and unchanging

· Life’s forms are distinct and separate

· The cause of this is a Creator

Darwin

· Published The Origin of Species in 1859

· Life’s forms have evolved (or changed) over time

· Life’s forms are not distinct with many species lines being blurred

· The cause of this is that an early, simple form of life gave rise to all the later forms of life by the process of natural selection

Fossil evidence

· Fossils are preserved parts or impressions of organisms

· Longest lasting fossils are mineralized replicas of the hard body parts of dead organisms

Fossils

· Preserved in
sedimentary rocks
at bottom of water

· Rock weathers and washes into lakes along with dead organisms

· Sea life most complete fossil record

· Example: Grand Canyon is sedimentary rock with older strata lower down. Top strata are most similar to today’s life.

Dating fossils

· Carbon dating

· All living things are made mostly of carbon (after water). A small portion of this carbon is in the form of Carbon-14, an unstable radioactive isotope. Once an organism dies, the C-14 in the organism begins to disintegrate. Because it disintegrates at a steady, known rate, scientists can measure the amount of C-14 remaining and use a scientific formula to determine the age of the sample.

· By measuring the ratio of C-14 to C-12 one can estimate the age of a fossil.

· The accuracy of carbon dating is confirmed by writing over the past 2,000 years

· Half life is the time for half of the C-14 to break down

· C-14 can be used to date about 40,000 years

Argon dating

· For specimens older than 40K years, use argon dating

· The accuracy of radiometric dating formulas is easily established with elements that have shorter half lives, like P-32 (half life = 14 days)

A very brief history

· A brief timeline of life based on the fossil record. First:

· Cell (3.5bya)

· Animal (700mya)

· Land plant (400mya)

· Dinosaur (250mya)

· Human (0.1mya)

· If the history of life was on a 1-year calendar, then humans (Homo sapiens) appeared on Dec 31 at 10 minutes to midnight.

· Precambrian era: 3.5 bya - 0.7 bya

· Single-celled organisms

· Paleozoic era: 550mya - 250mya

· Cambrian period is first 50 million years of this era.

· Cambrian explosion: ancestors of all animal phyla today

Extinctions

· 99% of all species that ever lived are extinct

· Today: 30 million species (1.5 million are known, half of which are insects)

· Extinct: 2 billion species

· We are living in a period of mass extinctions. 50,000 species are wiped out every year due to the clearing of rainforests

· Why care about species extinction if it is a natural event for species to disappear and new species to arise?

· Extinction and new species arising is a natural event over scales of tens of thousands of years. Anything we wipe out is gone!

· If we stopped destroying species tomorrow, it would take 5 million years to get back the biodiversity we had in 1900.

Back to evolution . . .

· Living organisms provide evidence of evolution.

Homologous structures

· Arm of a cat, bat, whale, man, structurally alike because they share a common ancestor (divergent evolution)

Embryology

· Early human embryos have gill pouches and a tail. New structures are modified old ones.

Vestigial structures

· Tailbone of humans

· Leg bone of snake, whale

Molecular biology

· Genetic code is universal. All life today arose from one cell.

· Amino acid sequence comparisons

· More closely related organisms share more amino acid sequences

· DNA sequence homology by nucleic acid hybridization

Nucleic acid hybridization

· Compare DNA by nucleic acid hybridization

· Heat DNA to separate strands

· Reanneal between different species

· Measure degree of bonding by seeing at what temperature they separate

Adaptation

· How do species become adapted to their environment?

· Adapted = fit to the environment

Exercise

· How would insects change in a cotton field when you sprayed with insecticide?

Natural selection

· Populations would explode if all individuals survived and reproduced

· Populations in nature are stable

· Only the fittest organisms survive

· Over many generations, traits in a population change

· Microevolution—the study of how alleles in a population change

· Macroevolution—the study of how new species arise

How populations evolve

· Microevolution: how do allele frequencies change in a population?

· Population — a local group of organisms belonging to the same species

· Goldfish in a pond

· Species — a particular kind of organism, member will interbreed

· Gene pool — all genes in population, including different alleles for some genes

Population genetics

· Focus on changes in genetics of a population over time vs. gradual change in characteristics or speciation

· Population is a group of individuals of the same species that actually interbreed

· Evolution = change in inheritable characteristics of a population over time

9 postulates of Darwin’s Theory of Natural Selection

· Populations have biotic potential

· But populations in nature maintain relatively stable sizes

· Because limiting factors control growth

· Therefore, only a small fraction of any population survive to reproduce

· Populations exhibit inheritable variation in characteristics

· Limiting factors in the environment make some traits more favorable than others

· Individuals with more favorable traits are more likely to survive and reproduce, resulting in increased frequency of favorable traits

· Environments change over time

· Populations will evolve by natural selection and to remain adapted to changing environments

Effects of chance in evolution

· Both natural selection and genetic drift based on chance, but there is a difference

· In genetic drift, there is an equal but generally low chance for individuals with any trait to survive and reproduce (random chance)

· In natural selection, individuals have a different chance of surviving and reproducing depending on which traits they possess (NOT random chance)

How do populations change over time?

· Change in inheritable characteristics implies change in genes of populations

· Gene pool = collection of alleles in a population.

· Allele frequencies = proportion of alleles for a gene that are of a given kind

· Population genetics = study of causes of changes in allele frequencies in a population over time

· If we know the genotype of two individuals, we can predict the genotype and phenotype frequencies for their offspring

· For example, given a dominant trait, what proportion of the population is expected to exhibit the trait in the next generation?

· Need to know the frequency of the alleles in the population to predict the frequency of the trait in the next generation of the population

Hardy-Weinberg theorem

· Defines relationship between genotypes and allele frequencies

· In a non-evolving population, allele frequencies remain stable from generation to generation and can be calculated by the equation

p2 + 2pq + q2 = 1

· For a population to be non-evolving (no microevolution) the following conditions must be true.

1. Very large population

2. Isolation from other populations

3. No new mutations

4. Random mating

5. No natural selection

Gradualism vs. punctuated equilibrium

· Why doesn’t the fossil record show many intermediate species?

· Gradualism—species change a little at a time until finally it becomes a new species

· Punctuated equilibrium—Species change rapidly (10,000 to 100,000 years) and then remain stable (5 million years for successful species)

Conclusion. So in the end we all decide what we really want to believe in life. This pertains to all things. In this author’s view, I see much proof against the bible and none for it (this is my view), unless you take the bible as proof on itself. And why doesn’t God come to us all as proof, since he is capable of doing so (since he can do anything)? Why isn’t the proof of burden on religion to show their gods? It would make things much easier. And whose religion is right or wrong? Some say, “How can millions of people be wrong about Judaism?”, but there are millions of people following Muslim faith also, so who is to say that religion is not correct? Why isn’t Judaism and Christianity the oldest religion? It seems to me, humans will always try to find reason for an afterlife due to them not being able to handle their own mortality. How else can you explain so many religions all through time, all different in some way? Maybe if people could face the fear of ‘no life after death’, then maybe they will be able to seek the truth faster and better. This issue is mainly to create questions on disproving the bible or not. Disproving a God or Gods, of some kind, or an afterlife is harder. But not being able to disprove is not proof, as aliens also are not able to be disproved, and even more, fairies, trolls , and goblins are also not able to be disproved. So you see, disproving something that is not there is almost impossible. The burden of proof is religion to show solid proof of existence, not ideas. Maybe this was a story book that got carried away? Remember the incident of the story “War of the Worlds”? I do know one thing, if this was a court of law, the overwhelming evidence against the bible and none for the bible...well, we all know what the outcome would be. We have went to wars with other countries on less evidence than that against the bible, yet people still hold on tight. Reminds me of when a child still holds on to their bottle or security blanket, when the time to grow up is at hand, but the child doesn’t want to. Why does each religion say how peaceful and loving it is, yet wages wars and arguments against other beliefs? Each religion has it’s own basis on justifying prejudice on others. Is it so hard for us to believe that we are made from atoms and molecules formed from planets and the galaxy, and that we are forever a part of it, going on and on in a continuous cycle of rebirth and regeneration? How can people not accept this, but accept a God that created himself, who can do anything ,and never die?
