My primary responsibility is to assist in the definition of the web strategy for the organization and the 40 divisions of the cable company. Secondary tasks include managing the development of a centralized bill payment solution and investigating the creation of a Customer Service Portal for the company.

Time Warner Cable Website Project

  • Technologies:Websphere v5 Application Server, WASD v5, Struts, J2EE, JSP, DB2, Apache, Tomcat, WebTrends
  • Worked with marketing to define requirement for the launch of the twc.com website
  • manged a team of contractors and internal resources to develop and launch the website
  • managed an effort to integrate web analytics software ( NetIQ WebTrends ) into www.timewarnercable.com
  • re-launched www.timewarnercable.com sixty days later to coincide with company rebranding which required a new look and feel to match the new corporate direction.
  • Managed the RFP Process of identifying external vendor to assist TWC with web strategy
  • worked with internal infrastructure team to install and support the application

CSR Portal Project

  • Technologies:Websphere v5 Application Server, WASD v5, Websphere Portal
  • Worked with various divisions to identify the needs for a customer service portal
  • Evaluated technology in the Portal space to determine the best vendor to solve the problem
  • Managed building of proof of concept portal application to validate the technology and the assumptions if the requirements.
  • Starting to evaluate the PeopleSoft Portal product to determine if the product can be a viable alternative to the Websphere Product

Bill Payment Administration Tool

  • Hands on technical lead for developing web based tool for ten cable divisions to remotely configure and support the Bill Presentment Application

  • Managed the integration of a centralized bill payment and presentment solution for ten Time Warner Cable Divisions

Manage large complex e-commerce customization projects for InterWorld. The projects required interacting with senior level resources on the client side as well as the external consulting partners brought in by the client. I also was a resource to the Sales Organization to participate in key senior level pre-sales activities for complex engagements by assisting in proposals, staffing recommendations and the sales close when deemed necessary.

Marks and Spenser UK

  • Managed team of 10 InterWorld Engineers to migrate and enhance e-commerce site.
  • Managed relationship between the other consulting partners (WebMethods, InterWoven) and InterWorld to ensure proper interfacing between all team to provide an integrated solution.
  • Brought in to manage the project after initial effort was over budget and mismanaged to ensure fixed-bid project was brought in on schedule

  • Managed team of 4-7 InterWorld Engineers to migrate and enhance e-commerce site during an eight-month, million-dollar engagement. Managed relationship between the other consulting partners and InterWorld to ensure proper interfacing between all team to provide an integrated solution.
  • Gathered and reviewed all technical requirements as well and business requirements from Disney and partners for enhancing the new stores. Store ran successfully through the christmas season with increased sales over the previous year.

Verizon

  • Worked with client project manager and twelve business user’s to gather requirements for building web-enabled catalog of Verizon’s data products during a four month engagement; developed project plan including scope and estimated costs of project.
  • Worked with client to create a team with the proper mix of resources to ensure a successful transition of the project to the client’s resources.

ZainyBrainy.com

  • Managed InterWorld’s development of the site with five resources and four client resources.
  • Managed the development of the functional prototype in thirty days while working with client to finalize requirements in time for a Christmas 1999 launch.

  • Managed team of engineers, documentation and quality assurance resources that created customized e-commerce packaged solutions for key InterWorld clients. The team comprised of 18 staff members and 2 additional Managers to assist with the engagements. The solutions were a complete package including installers, documentation and technical resources to assist in the knowledge transfer.

Product Manager for Commerce Exchange 3.0 release, member of senior management team involved with the planning of the overall product development effort.

  • Account Management Services: Tasks include design specifications, scheduling, management of four resources and software development process review. Designed and developed prototype Account Management Active-X Tool to support the management of customer and groups in the Commerce Exchange eCommerce System. Utilized XML tools, C++ and support both browsers through plug-ins.
  • Installation Application: Tasks include design specifications, scheduling, and management of one resource and software development process review. Created process for automating the construction of a cross-platform installer for the Commerce Exchange application on the UNIX and NT operating systems. Reduced product installation time from two days to one day through simplified interface and documentation.

Engagement Technical Leader

  • Lead Engineer for AT&T Network Notes Welcome Kit and Network Notes Administrator tools. Tool written in Visual Basic with Hitest API and Hitest VBXs.; responsible for documentation to support the tools.

  • Team member for development and support of the C and the HiTest API to Lotus Notes. Specific responsibility was Lead engineer for porting all APIs to the Macintosh platform.
