We made this website in order for students like us to learn and comprehend the power and significance of tone. Since you have probably come for help, here is a frequently asked question:
What exactly does tone do and what purpose does it serve?
Tone is basically the attitude and point of view being created through different language devices such as rhetorical devices, punctuation, sentence structure, syntax, and diction. For example short sentences with exclamation marks along with certain negative words such as "you fat worthless piece of lard!" probably convey a tone of furiousity and anger since you wouldn't be called "worthless" and "fat" in the same sentence unless the speaker was really pissed. Basically, without tone, you wouldn't be able to express certain emotions and feelings such as anger, excitement, sadness, cockiness and so on forth. Even  if you still don't fully comprehend tone, don't fret!  Thats why we provided a thorough analysis of tone through examples from literary works.
