This mask is made from a paper mache base that was covered in burn-out silk velvet and trimmed in gold. The raw edges of the silk velvet on the back of the mask are covered with the same gold trim. There are rhinestones over the brow of the eye openings and a large gold sequin flower to one side. The mask ties in the back of the head with black satin ribbon. The last two pictures show the mask when worn.
Purple Venetian Mask
This mask is not meant to be worn, but hung on the wall as art. The face portion of the mask is a embellished porcelain base. The folded drape to one side of the face is actually leather that has been molded into shape and painted in the same colors. The mask is decorated with purple Swarovski crystals. The inside of the mask has a red wax seal of authenticity.
