I remember that we were the first ones in our family to get a TV set. It was black and white of course and was very big with a tiny screen. The bull’s eye test screen was on most  of the time and programming ended at 11PM after the National Anthem. We had a lot of company and neighbors come over to watch the Ed Sullivan show. All the kids would sit on the floor and the dinning room chairs would be brought in for all the adults. It was so much fun! I remember my mom let me watch Ding Dong School with Miss Frances. I know she tired of helping me get all the mess cleaned up after. We would make glue from flour and water, and finger paint a lot! My Mom was the best! As time went on I remember my Mom would watch Queen for a Day. How I wished I could get her on the show so she could be the Queen for 1 Day. I even made her a little crown out of aluminum foil. My Dad always treated my Mom like Queen and he even called me his “Little Princess”
Well I did out grow Kuala, Fran, and Ollie, Lamb Chop, then Mickey Mouse Club, and all the other wonderful shows and graduated to Band Stand! Wow what a show! We would try to dress and fix our hair like all those girls when we went to the high school dances. There is so much to tell and not enough paper to put it all down so I will scoot and see you all in class! Have fun walking down memory lane! Doing this has really jogged my brain cells and our children will love it!
