THE STORY

It was August 2002, and we were finally settling down in Princeton, when John got a call from the head of the alumni association of Yale Crew. The news: the head coach had resigned and they wanted John to interview for the position. After a highly competitive process, John was named Head Coach.

So, John has been up at Yale during the week since Labor Day, while the rest of us have caught our breath and regenerated some energy for yet another move.

The great news is that John is loving his job. Yale Crew has a 300 year history (the oldest program on the planet), an endowed program, and a new boathouse! What they have not had until now is John! But now that this last piece of the puzzle is in place, we are looking forward to some winning seasons. Go Bulldogs.

JUNE 8, 2003: UPDATE

We'll it's an historic day. John just finished his first year as Head Coach of Yale. It wasn't the winningest season, but we are all proud of him -- he made a lot of changes this year and although I'm sure he wishes their performance had been better, this is all a process and LOTS of good things happened this year.

We are closing on a house in New Haven on Tuesday, June 10, 2003 (knock on wood) and the kids have been accepted into the Foote School for next year. Foote goes through 8th grade so we are set for a while. Click here for Foote's website.

Our house will be walking distance to everything that New Haven and Yale has to offer. We hope we will get lots of visitors! More after the closing!

JUNE 11, 2003: UPDATE:

We closed on our new house yesterday. Picture below!

We are so excited about our new house and our new town. We will be in the house as of June 23, 2003 and our new number will be 203-624-5222!!!

See you all in New Haven!
