He who has a special friend
is quite lucky indeed... One that listens and understands
and knows your every need...

I spent some time looking
for that extra special friend...
one day quite by accident I saw him right around the bend...

He was there with a flower in his hand
on his face was a silly little grin...
I stopped for a moment to watch him and knew he would be my special friend...

He turned around and said hello
with a perplexed look upon his face... my cheeks were flushed, I could hardly speak
so I dropped my hankie made of lace...

We started talking about silly things
while walking toward the pool... my heart was racing as I looked at him
I tried to keep my cool...

Soon we had to say goodnight
the tenderness on his face moved me... he said same time..same place tomorrow
as he walked away so merrily...

As time went by our friendship grew
we walked and talked every night...
he taught me to see that beauty surrounds
and look at all the wonderful sights...

Words came freely between us two he said I was his dawn of gold...
the most beautiful red rose
with crimson edges that gently unfold...

The precious moments that we spent were blessed by the Lord above...
soon we planned our wedding day
at last we knew it was true love...

I wake every morning to a merry laugh
he opens our window and brings me a rose...
the tray of silver has a reflection of me
he enjoys seeing the sunshine on my nose...

My cup runneth over with so much love
I do all I can for him...
the days are beautiful
two hearts filled to the brim...

Out love is special in every way
full of sunshine so pleasant and fair...
God knew what he was doing
when He made us a pair...

My world evolves around him
and his around mine...
his words are magic to my ears
they make me feel divine...

I was acting silly the other day
and said to my sweetheart..my special friend...
I want to be a queen
he answered with a great big grin...

You are a queen, my special queen
who sits upon a throne in my heart...
you are beautiful, wonderful and precious...
and we will never part.
