Battle Angel: Volume One
Version: Japanese
Seen At: Blockbuster Video
Rating: R
Review: Five Stars

Battle Angel: Volume One features the first two, and the only, episodes of the Battle Angel OAV. The reason for this was because an OAV starts out with two episodes and,if it does good, it continues out the series. Battle Angel, apparently, didn't make it. Though, it is one of my all time favorites.
The animation on Battle Angel is some of the best I have ever seen. It has extreme detail on their emoton shown on their faces, but doesn't make them ugly. Gally, the Battle Angel, in a sense, is one of the prettiest anime characters around, though, they could of drawn Yugo a little bit better.
This is a coming-of-age story, but it revolves around a cyborg, Gally. There is no talk of the rest of the OAV ever coming, but the manga is out, and the last volume is almost here, so you better get that while you still can.
The voices for everyone in this anime are superb and there is no way it could of been better. You can rent this at Blockbuster in Japanese, and I once saw it at Hollywood Video in English. I warn you, though, Dubbed version can really ruin and anime, so stick with the Japanese.
