Without Me

When tomorrow starts without me
And I'm not there to see
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
All filled with tears for me
I wish so much you wouldn't cry
The way you did today
While thinking of the many things
We didn't get to say

I know how much you love me
As much as I love you
And each time that you think of me
I know you'll miss me too

But when tomorrow starts without me
Please try to understand
That an angel came and called my name
And took me by the hand
And said my place was ready
In heaven far above
And that I'd have to leave behind
All those I dearly love

But as I turned to walk away
A tear fell from my eye
For all life, I'd always thought,
I didn't want to die

I had so much to live for
So much yet to do
It seemed almost impossible
That I was leaving you
I thought of all the yesterdays
The good ones and the bad
I thought of all the love we shared
And all the fun we had

If I could relive yesterday
Just even for a while
I'd say goodbye and kiss you
And maybe see you smile

But then I fully realized
That this could never be
For emptiness and memories
Would take the place of me
And when I thought of worldly things
I might miss come tomorrow
I thought of you, and when I did,
My heart was filled with sorrow

But when I walked through heaven's gates
I felt so much at home
When God looked down and smiled at me
From His great golden throne
He said, "This is Eternity
And all I've promised you
Today for life on earth is past
But here it starts anew
I promise no tomorrow,
But today will always last,
And since each day's the same day
There's no longing for the past"

"But you have been so faithful
So trusting and so true
Though there were times you did some things
You knew you shouldn't do
But you have been forgiven
And now at last you're free
So won't you take My hand
And share My life with Me?"

So when tomorrow starts without me
Don't think we're far apart
For every time you think of me
I'm right here -- in your heart

These are two beautiful and loving gifts for Angel Quintin from my dear friend, Carol, mom to Angel Michael.

Quintin, me and Robin (brother/son)

Quintin (15 mo.)and his older brother Robin (4 yr).

Quintin was born 5/28/1982...the middle child of 3.

I LIT A CANDLE

I lit a candle for you today
May it's light reflect my love your way
So great you are upon my mind
I had to stop and give you my time

I thought of the memories we shared together
Enjoying the company of one another
I'm glad for the time we had
Now without you, I am so sad

My talks to you, now only goes one way
I'm sure you hear me up Heaven's way
I'd give anything to have you talk back to me
Oh what a comfort that would be

I lit a candle for you today
May it's light reflect my love your way
Now I must go until next time
I will forever keep you, gently on my mind.

This is Quintin at about 4 yrs old with his "Buddy" Jack (stepdad)....always in his back pocket.

This is Quintin at 6 with his little sissy and his "Buddy."

About the age of 8, Quintin took up bowling and did this the rest of his shortened life. he won numerous patches and trophies while on the teen leagues, countless numbers of tourneys he was in and finally an adult league when he turned 17...he had a passion for the sport and even got a job in the bowling alley til he moved to Arizona 11 months before his death.

And oh my gosh how could I forget this pic...this is the start of one of his many loves...bowling

Something about Quintin is he never quit anything until he was satisfied that he had mastered it. a very proud man and always a very determined young man to achieve his goals. and there was nothing that he couldn't do if he set his mind to it. From his grades in school to his love of working with his hands, and he had rebuilt 2 vehicles himself...with a little help from his cousin..lol Quintin worked hard and put himself thru college, and also to pay for the restoration of his 74 Chevy Nova...that is his first car that he just HAD to have.

Quintin and his "toy" 74 Chevy Nova Hatchback.

Then Quintin had to have a motorcycle...
I wasn't excited about it but what can I say...lol

This is a picture of Quintin with his good buddy Todd. They had an apartment together in AZ and played a lot of video games...lol very rarely did you see one without the other.

This is showing one of Quintin's many playful sides...he and another close buddy Josh horsing around as they usually did.

One of Quintin's favorite sayings is "who's yo' daddy?"
and he was going thru the motions in this picture.

This is Quintin and his son shortly after birth...kind of a heavenly light seems to be on them.

"Mom, how do you feel to be a grandma????" he said this to me and then he finished college. Well, down the road we left for Arizona in a u-haul full of Quintin's belongings pulling his Nova on a flatbed trailer. we didn't realize that in 5 days it would be the last time we saw Quintin alive. He moved 1600 miles away from home to be
with his fiance and son...I was so proud of him.

Quintin, Jess and Caleb.

We talked on the phone at least once a week and thankfully I talked to him the morning of his death. Always a very happy child and young adult....joking with
his friends was another of his passions...boy, could he "quip"...
he had a joke for about any occasion...

Quintin loves his little sister Erika.

This is the tattoo that Erika got in memory of her big brother Quintin who she loves and misses very much.

But Quintin could also be very serious when he needed...very polite young man...so much love for life and people...from the times of a little man riding in the back of the pickup to the time of his death he loved the wind in his face and that's how he died....doing what he loved. And we have a beautiful grandson from him that seems to be as determined as the daddy he will never know but will be in his heart.

Quintin and son Caleb at zoo.

Loving father & his son.

This is a picture of Quintin's son Caleb at 2 1/2. Oh how he has grown! This little man was only 1 yr and 2 weeks when his daddy left this earth.

What a sweet little face! Brings back many wonderful memories for me thats for sure.

Quintin & momma at his babyshower.

I thought of you with love today,
But that is nothing new.
I thought of about you yesterday
And each day before that too.
I think of you in silence,
I often speak your name.
All I have are memories,
And pictures in a frame.
Your memory is my keepsake
With which I will never part.
God has you in His keeping,
But I have you in my heart

This is a graduation picture that I added the name and dates to.

Quintin is definitely a man of Great Character whose judgement, humor and friendly spirit brought out the finest in those around him. The influence of his life upon others is a flame that will burn brightly forever. He left so much good with every soul
he touched on this earth.

This is a picture that Quintin's brother Robin and sister Erika had taken after he had passed...
I couldn't stand Quintin not in the picture, so he is "looking over them."

This is the special senior graduation picture Erika had made in rememberance of her brother Quintin who she loves so dearly.

This is a tattoo that Quintin's very good friend had done in his memory....its just beautiful!

Quintin's brother Robin came home in January 2006 for our Christmas together. While he was visiting he had gotten this tattoo in memory of his "younger bigger brother" who he loves and misses forever very very much.

This is the tattoo that I have gotten on my lower right ankle in memory of my son Quintin
that I love and miss terribly.

We will be together again
Then I will see that smile

A lot of ANGEL'S here have told me
We live just beyond the crest
