Returned Treasure
In 1968 while in Mai Xai Tai Gen. Weise removed this turtle from the destroyed temple in the village. Here he is returning the turtle to the temple 29 years later.
Incense Burning
The General and Mr Ang burned incense inside of the temple.
Inside The Temple
This is how the inside of the temple looks today. It was totally destroyed in the fighting in March of 1968.
Mr. Ang
Our former enemy Mr Ang in the temple at Mai Xai Tai.
Old Man
This old Vietnamese gentleman was the priest at the Temple. I am sure he remembers a lot of the war years.
