Every single act of rebellion against any act of oppression is revolutionary. Revolution is mandatory for survival. The only way to defy the public myths and lies that oppress homosexuals is to defy them publicly. We must live our lives openly as homosexuals because our bigoted oppressors wound us with their hateful lies and abuses. All wounds heal best in open air.

Racism is not synonymous with gaybashing. But, they are very similar oppressions. Their similarities are glaring and denied only by those who are blinded by their own racism and homo hatred.

Homosexuals are oppressed every where in this homo hating world. We are oppressed occupationally, academically, financially, emotionally, spiritually, verbally, medically, and physically. There are no havens from the hatred we endure. Gay blacks who are abused by racism are abused by black gaybashers. All gays are abused by gaybashing family members. Because our marriages are not legal, family members are legally allowed to torture and rob our lesbian and gay spouses/business partners/soulmates. They often act as legally sanctioned vultures and usurp all that we have amassed with our lovers when we die. It is still legal to refuse to promote or fire gays, to refuse to rent or sell homes to gays, and to deny gay biological parents their parental rights and custody in most places in the world.

Every time that any homosexual lies about being gay, or denies being gay, or hides behind silence to avoid dealing with being gay, it is an act of sheer cowardice. It is also an act of co-conspiracy in their individual and our collective demise. When we refuse to live openly and honestly, we always imply that we are ashamed and afraid to be precisely who God made us to be. God creates homosexuals in literally every living species. Yet, only humans hide and hate God’s homosexual creations.

Imagine Rosa Parks, Sojourner Truth, Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, and all other civil rights activists fighting for racial equality while they donned white masks or the stark white bleached skin of Michael Jackson....Imagine blacks with white faces being attacked by racist police officers and their rabid dogs on bridges in Alabama...Imagine all the strange fruit that hung from southern trees as corpses that were painted white...Would any of these legendary historical incidents have had nearly the same black impact while these black rebels and martyrs had white faces? The answer is NO!!!

That answer begs these questions: How can homosexuals rebel against public gaybashers in private closets? How can homosexuals ever defy a singular public gaybashing lie or myth while publicly feigning heterosexuality or masking their homosexuality with silence? Homosexuals posing as heterosexuals can never truly fashion any sexual revolution.

Every time I channel surf through TV stations like BET or FX, I see black comedians (who set off my gaydar) or offensive toons gaybashing. Yet, in the real world, most homosexuals are not flaming queens or butch jokes. Most of us are not visibly gay. Most lesbians are feminine women. Most gay men are masculine. Millions of us are very spiritual and have uniquely intimate relationships with God. Millions of us are virgins or celibate. Millions of us pray for one decent date or monogamous lover. Millions of us are exceptionally great parents who rear outstanding children who are heterosexual and gay. Millions of child free gay aunts and uncles pay college tuition for nieces and nephews who will be the leaders of tomorrow. Many of us are superior citizens, teachers, and workers...

Yet, not a single one of the aforementioned homosexuals will ever be counted if they masquerade as heterosexuals. None of them can be counted as they stand and shiver behind their deadbolted closet doors. Every one of them are publicly erased by gaybashers daily because they choose to publicly erase their own homosexuality.

Life is always a gift. Each gift of life is given with a life mission. Our collective divine mission as humans is to improve the world. If coming out of the closet can help ONLY one homosexual person learn to love their self, or one heterosexual person learn to love a homosexual, then one divine mission is completed. All closeted homosexuals betray themselves, the world, and their divine mission by living a lie in hiding.

I completely understand every reason that any person would choose to remain closeted. I was closeted until I was 21. I know that no reason is ever sufficient to sell one’s soul or live a lie!!! No reason is worth the emotional and social cost of hiding in a closet. For every single gaybasher that has left my life, I have gained countless secure heterosexuals and fellow brave gays as friends, allies, and fans. I will never miss them! The real loss is their own.

The peace, courage, pride, and self-love that result from exiting closet doors and choosing to live honestly and openly are priceless. These healing spiritual gems empower life and enrich life so that they actually eclipse every cost. They have helped me fall in love with my lesbian self just as I have fallen in love with a chocolate Queen that God sent to me because I prayed for her. I am completely immune to religious sinners and their biblical myths and lies. I live every day in public defiance of their ignorance, blasphemy, hypocrisy, hatred, and lies.

There are droves of celebrities who could change this world simply by coming out of their homosexual closets. They have many peers that have done so who are still rich and famous. they have many fans who adore them as they simultaneously hate and slander gays. At the very least, one gaybashing fan of one of those gay celebrities would be forced to stop chanting the mantras that slander all homosexuals:

“All gays are pedophiles, whores, junkies, serial killers, alcoholics, rapists, etc....
All gays have sex with at least 10 people daily...
All gays contribute nothing positive to society...
All gays comprise only one tenth of the population...
All gays have AIDS etc....
All gays are ungodly evil sinners etc...”

Many bigoted fools are emotionally and sexually retarded. Gay celebrities could at least lend immediate mental therapy to such idiots. Nothing can be as educational as the life of someone who is respected and loved.

I pray incessantly that someday every homosexual will rebel against gaybashing hatred and lies by coming out. I know that homosexuality will be akin to eye color someday. My homosexuality is simply a genetic variance. It is just as scientifically arbitrary as my height or the texture of my hair.

Coming out of my closet was coming home to my deepest self and embracing my God. God does not live in any church or book/bible. God lives in each of our souls. My lesbian soul was tortured until I was 21...At 39, I am blissful and out. I am truly blessed. I have moved from regarding my homosexuality as a curse to cherishing it as a gift.

I thank God daily for giving me the courage to come out of my closet at 21, for the wisdom to understand my divine mission to slay gaybashers, and for the serenity of living my lesbian life honestly and openly. I also thank God for the strength to challenge and expose the lies of all bigots in every arena until the day that I breathe my very last black lesbian breath. I have never been pregnant and I never will be. I will never desire to bear a child in this hellish and cursed world. I will welcome the day that I move ALL of my African, womanist, lesbian soul to a FAR superior place, where race, gender, and sexuality are all regarded as irrelevant, just as they should be here on earth...
