David and Amber are currently working on a noni farm
picking noni fruit. We get paid next to nothing, but
a little money is better than no money at all. This is
What a noni fruit looks like. They stink when ripe, but
are extremely healthy and are even rumored to cure cancers.
This is one noni farm where we work. You can see the
pahoehoe lava in the background from the 1980's erruption.
The nearest town, Pahoa, is extremely small. Here is
our one little police station. Eek! Tiny! The police here
do not drive police cars. They drive whatever they own
and put a little blue flashing magnetic light on top.
They have no sirens and no radios to contact backup.
Our new truck. Puna truck was horrible and leaked oil, so
we bought this beauty - a Chevy S10. Nice! And it's purple!
