The Shadow League
The magical barriers that have held the world together for aeons are beginning to fail. But this is far more than just a natural disaster. For the boundaries have also served to keep hostile nations apart.
The Shadowleague. Surprisingly, they're the good guys! Lead by Centaur Archimandrite Cergon, Senior Loremasters work with their partners to keep order between the worlds. Many species are represented, from Centaurs to the Phoenix, from Firedrakes to Wind Sprites to Dragons.
Loremasters Veldan and Kazail are escorting Aethon the Dragon Seer to Gendival, the home of the Shadowleague, for an emergency meeting. An unforseen natural disaster traps the Dragon and injures both Loremasters. This sets into motion certain events that uncover the schemes of an outcast Loremaster who, in disguise, is using his position as the Commander of the Godswords to topple Zavahl, the Hierarch of Callisiora.
The loremasters rescue him, and while Blade is trying to prevent Veldan and Kazairl getting Aethon and Zavahl back to Gendival, the curtain around Callisiora thins even further and creatures that are the stuff of nightmares begin to pour into Tiarond, forcing everyone into the sanctuary of the Temple. The Suffragan Gilarra now has a problem, but luckily she has people like Mistress Agella the Smith, Godsword Lieutenant Galveron, Loremaster Elion and Healer Kaita to help. But its former smith's apprentice Scall that makes the greatest discovery, just as the Shadowleague starts to tear itself apart from the inside.
