Lyric-coloratura Amber Lee Harrington began her musical career at the age of 5 (as a church soloist). At the age of 15 she began to study privately with Kathryn Karrasick (Boston Opera), who was head of the vocal department at Mary Washington College in Virgina. She moved back to her birthstate of Arizona in 1997 and continued to study voice and to participate in local choirs. Ms. Harrington has performed in many prestigious audition-only ensembles including The Maranatha Touring Choir, and more recently The Lane Justus Chorale (as the featured soloist on Dr. Justus' final CD, "Legacy", released summer 2002). She has also won several awards and voice scholarships. Ms. Harrington continues to study voice with Dr. Larry Day. |
