Judgement Day

                                            I kneel before You.
                                                  I am here.
                   As it is written,
                                     as it is spoken,
    I listen.

    The more that is read,
    the lower I bow
    my head.
    There are no secrets
    to hide.
    I am being told
    the whole of it all.
    Shamed from what
    is read,
    I listen more.
    And through this I
    stay in silence;
    I dare not defend.
    Shame is within
    me now,
    more now than
    then.
    The voice ceases
    and yes,
    I raise my head.

    Stand up, my son;
    do not despair.
    The pages of sin
    I cast away.
    Forever gone,
    forever turned to dust.
    Rise up higher
    and stand with Me.
    You believed in Me;
    now I believe in you.
    Walk into My kingdom,
    your eternal home.

-TODAY I AWOKE-
TODAY I AWOKE
TO FIND YOU STILL GONE...
TODAY I AWOKE
TO THE WORDS OF A SONG.

TODAY I AWOKE
TO ALL THAT I HEAR...
TODAY I AWOKE
TO FIND YOU STILL NEAR.

FOR YESTERDAYS ARE NOT GONE...
AND TOMMORROWS WILL FOLLOW THE NIGHT,
BUT THE MEMORIES I'LL TREASURE...
WITH KNOWING YOU'RE ALRIGHT.

FOR TODAY I TRULY AWOKE
TO KNOWING THAT YOU ARE
AND FOREVER WILL BE

Take a tree and watch it grow
Years and years it grows
Stronger, bigger, prouder
years go by and still it grows
Fuller wider prouder
Many sights this tree has seen
Courting couples, family picnics
Children climbing,nesting birds
And still it grows
Wiser taller prouder
It learns to battle every storm the wind can muster
Still it grows
The strongest, biggest, proudest
Till one day the time has come
it starts to weaken then to falter
Slowly, surely falling lower
It still has pride in where it stands
roots go deeper than the eye
Slowly, surely it weakens more
until it can fight no more
but still it has pride
for it knows through all those years
it has scattered many smiles and much joy
he stood up strong through all those years
and when the wind blew
it blew his wisdom pride and strenght
in the form of bundles of joy
SO YOU SEE THE TREE LIVES ON

                         MY DAD

I lost a wonderful man in my life my dad past away Feb 3rd. Let me tell you a little about him he was not a book smart man he had to drop out of school to help support his mother and sister. But my dad was the smartest most compassionate man I knew I am his firstborn and we share a bond that will never be broken even by death I am his only daughter and I was born on his birthday march 16th. I consider my dad my hero he not only gave me life he saved my life. When my mother left me for dead as a toddler it was my dad that rushed me to the hospital it was my dad who fought in the courts for me and it was my dad who raised me to the best of his abilities and I know how hard it must have been. My dad remarried a young woman named Olga who became my mother she already had a young son of 4 (my brother joe) and together they had my two brothers Robert and David. But tragedy struck when i was a young teen she died of cancer and I was only 14 joe was 16 the city came in trying to take Joe now since my dad was not his bio father and my dad fought like heck and won the right to keep him Thats the kind of man my dad was he never took the easy way out I remember my dad being there for me when i was growing up he had a bizarre sense of humor. I remember once when i was young and asked him where waterbugs came from and he told me that they grew out of water I was scared to take a bath after that but he eventually told me the truth. Our birthday is March 16th and when I was little he told me the world was so honored by my birth they had a parade for me on the 17th (st patricks day) I believed him til i was about 10 years old. My dad never lived by other people's rules or expections only what he believed in his favorite song was My way By both Elvis and Frank Sinatra. And if anything ever was a more fitting description of him or how he lived it is that song.
Dad I love you I always have I always will and I will never forget you or how you shaped my life.
