Amber graduated from The Australian Ballet School in 2000 as Dux of her year, before joining The Australian Ballet in 2001. She has performed in ballets such as Giselle, Manon, Etudes, Beyond 40, Sentimental Bloke, Coppélia and Spartacus. She has also performed soloist roles in Swan Lake, Catalyst and Symphony in C.
In early 2003 Amber spent four months in Denmark with the Royal Danish Ballet as part of a dancer exchange program and later that year performed with The Dancers Company as guest artist in their production of Nutcracker.
Amber was nominated as one of the Telstra Young Ballet Dancer of the year and she won both the Peoples Choice Award, and the Young Ballet Dancer Award in 2004. She has also won other awards, such as the Frida Irving travel scholarship in 2007.
Outside of ballet, Amber enjoys reading, and 'exploring second-hand bookstores, markets and libraries'. She lists biographies of actors, writers, painters and dancers, along with Penguin classics and old French literature amoung her favourites.
Amber was promoted to Coryphee in June 2004, and Soloist in 2006.
