| Music From listening to playing to composing, music is my passion I'm very influenced by latin, rock, ballads etc. I appreciate all types too...instrumental as well as vocal. Dance I'm no expert but i love it -- it's another passion - I've tried a lot in latin, ballroom, even jazz and tap and even helped out in workshops. I have also been fortunate enough to have had opportunities to perform on stage. Yoga I'm spiritual by nature...but I also give importance to health and I use yoga not only to destress, but also to maintain physical , mental , emotional and spiritual balance in life. Poetry and literature I love reading and have been influenced a lot by 3 genres - Romantic (including Gothic and Victorian) , Feminist (especially womanish and literature of the minorities) and Existential. I also write poems and one of my poems has been nominated for an award to be announced in March 2004, Florida. It is going to be published in "Eternal Portraits". Painting I prefer water color medium , and themes - mostly nature , tho' i dont restrict myself to these. I like trying new things and being creative. My latest - ceramics. Gemmology My love of jewellery made me do a basic course on gemmology. I take special interest on cuts and settings.Nature's precious gifts are a very beautiful way to pass time for someone as hedonistic as me. Exobiology Its not just discovery channel or movies that got me interested in the subject. I've always believed that the infinitely vast and barely discovered universe contains many secrets and that it's impossible for us to be alone. Though i've not been able to get an education in science, I read up and do my own research on the internet. Occult This can be really fun....from horoscopes and astrology or numerology, to ghost stories, tarots, spells etc., its an excellent way to entertain yourself. |
