follow a teenage girl in her quest to make her dreams come true... in a big way
about me

My name... or at least my online alias... is Lani Bley. I'm a 14-year-old girl with a love for animals, a talent for writing, and a passion for acting that I hope to pursue this year through my website, a journal I'm keeping, and a screenplay that you'll be hearing a lot more about.

I designed this site so that I could make my journey to superstardom before an encouraging audience. Since none of you know me personally, you can doubt or believe in my ability to achieve my goals and it won't really matter.

This site is also for people just like me -- young (or old) girls (or boys!) who have a dream and want to make it a reality. I truly believe in my own power to achieve the goals I've set for myself, and I hope to encourage others to do the same. I will include motivational quotes, mood music, true stories, and my own experiences throughout the year on this site. Check it frequently and get inspired... I want my success (hopefully!) story to motivate other teens to do the same as me.
Surf the rest of this page to find out what it is I hope to accomplish (and how hope to do it), some of my favorite links and other things, and lots of things to help you start your journey to making your dreams come true.

Because of obvious reasons, I don't want to describe my screenplay here (I'm calling it Project JBR), but I'll tell you that I hope to portray the main character onscreen when my screenplay is finished.

UPDATE: I have recently completed my script and am working on revisions. Within a week it will be ready to send off to Disney's Fellowship program (http://abcnewtalent.disney.com), as well as a few studios. I'd like to thank everyone who's emailed me or left encouraging messages on the board. I haven't been able to update this site since my computer's so slow, but I'll let you know what happes. My next goal is to sell JBR and land a role in it... I hope to do that by the end of this year.

some of my own quotes
(from journal entries...)

It's a wonderful feeling knowing that somebody not only believes in your power to make your dreams come true but knows you will do it... even if that person is only yourself.

Even more beautiful than fame or success is knowing you did something that no one thought you could.

Nobody can hand me success, for it's something that has to come from within mysel.

As far as I know, there's no tomorrow and no yesterday. There's only today, and what I make of that is up to only me.
