Comment: You have a wonderful site with lots of great music. I agree wholeheartedly with your rating system! You have obviously put a lot of work into this site - thankyou on behalf of all of us musicians who always hope to find a site like this, but rarely stumble across such a good one! Well done, and keep up the good work!

Comment: Hey! You must be a great piano player to create such a wonderful site! how old are you? I'm 13 and just started the 2nd hungarian rhapsody by Liszt. Could you give me some advices on how to play the piece, stylewise? 1 more thing-could you list the chopin etudes in order of difficulty levels as well? Also I thought that the Emperor concerto by Beethoven is really difficult but it only got a 3-piano rating! And what would you rate the hungarian rhapsodies by liszt, skillwise? please let me know. Thank you!

Comment: This was a great site. I enjoyed listening to some of Chopin's works that I haven't heard before. However, It would be nice if you could include Tchaikovsky's Waltzes & one of his pieces called Dumka. Also, one of Brahm's Rhapsodies (I don't know the Op #: I do know it is in the key of E flat major) (Op.59) I have looked all over the internet (I'll keep looking) for those peices, I have even looked in www.sheetmusicarchives.net (that is an excellent site) and I didn't find them. Thanks!!

Comment: Nice site. One remark though. I play the piano for twelve years now, I can play "Flight of the Bumblebee" (Rimsky-Korsakov) but I can't play the "Waldstein-Sonata" (Beethoven) and it only get's two "pianos" while the "flight of ..." gets three of them! Anyway, it's a small detail for a nice site like this, keep up the good work!

Comment: Great to have your info on Godowsky. It cost me the equivalent of about $200 to buy the etudes - and I can only manage to play a couple of them! Let's hope your new site will allow us to download his works. At the moment, I'd love just to have a copy of Alt Wein (even Victor Borge used to play this marvellous piece of nostalgia). But what of the other transcendentalists: Liapunov, Alkan, Busoni - now all out of print? And the (not quite so transcendental) Russians? It's an enormous task.

If you want a piece with difficulty 5 pianos put the Paganini studies; at least they are more than just technical difficulty. Other pieces from Schumann, Schubert???!!! Bach Beethoven Bartòk!!!

Comment: Re: "Less great than Beethoven, I personally think ;-)! The harmony and melody are usually not rich enough ... anyway I'll pick some pieces with nice melody ..." How can you possibly say this!! To think that Beethoven is better than Mozart is simply ludicrous!! One only needs look at the original copies to see Mozart's pristine work and Beethoven's manuscripts littered with the corrections and adjustments Mozart never needed to make. If Beethoven is so good, how come one of his most famous pieces, the Chorale from the 9th Symphoney [sic], is almost identical to a Mozart piece only transposed to a major key?? Even the lyrics aren't his own!! I can always tell Beethoven by the overly drawn-out ending that leaves me wishing it would just keel over and die!! Had Mozart lived another 20 years, most of us wouldn't even know who Beethoven was! For rich harmony try opening your ears to the Haydn-dedicated quartet, "Dissonance", it's so rich it's almost jazz!!

Comment: Hi! Congratulations for your great Godowsky's sheet music page! But, can you help me to find others arrangements by Godowsky, particularly Renaissance music, and Bach partitas and suites? I search a Bach/Siloti "Prelude in B minor" and Gluck/Sgambati "Orphée melody", have you got an idea where I can find it ? So thanks a lot! Musically, Syrill Porra.

Then I found your site and downloaded the files. Thanks for providing such a wonderful site. Now I have an even better appreciation for what Godowsky created. You obviously put a lot of work in to the site and you should be very proud. All the best to you!

I myself love to play piano and have been playing for quite awhile more than half my life(then again, I'm only 15)I love the midis and I'm really grateful that you added links to other sites where I could find more sheet music to work on. One thing to add that would be pretty cool is something about the Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saens, particularly The Swan. I just finished studying that piece and I fell in love with it! I think you'll love it too.

4-piano rating for Liszt's Transcendental Etudes are probably enough. I played Mazeppa (No.4) and Restlessness (No.10). They can be managed (but certainly not mastered); while to me most (if not all) of the Godowsky's Etudes are just unmanagable.

You may accept it quickly. And the rating of transcendental etudes should be 5 or 6. You don't know how it is difficult to play. And let me recommand a good recording. Hamelin's complete 53 Godowsky "Vars on chopin`s etude". It's amazing. (best of Godo~`s Vars') I was born in Taegu, Korea .1982. I`m ver
